Celeste looked down, her eyes growing misty. “I’m sorry, Granny.”

Betty caressed Celeste’s face tenderly. “You were far too naive to know how low they would stoop.”
“Granny…”
“It’s okay.”
Betty scanned around the banquet hall. It looked even more desolate with only a few guests. She remarked calmly,

“It’s just a birthday. As long as you’re all safe and happy, I have nothing more to wish for.
“So, never let someone else’s shamelessness be a reason to hurt yourself, understand?”
There was an unspoken reference to what happened with Isabelle in Betty’s words.
Without hesitation, Celeste and Ivan replied, “We understand.”
Celeste had invited Matthias and Lottie as well.
They just arrived.
And they were very well aware of the history between the three families.
Upon hearing what had happened, Lottie cursed outright, “Unbelievable! I’ve never seen such shameless and disgusting people!”
Matthias gave Celeste’s shoulder a comforting pat.
Moments later, his phone chimed. When he saw the text, he paused for a brief moment and said, “I’ll bring – someone in to help.”
Celeste was confused. “Huh?”
Matthias responded with a smile, “You’ll see later.”
At the same time in the banquet hall of the Shaw residence…

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
