However, Celeste didn’t look up and continued discussing technical matters with the InnovaTech staff.
Albert smiled. “Mr. Yoder, do you know Mr. Robinson and Mr. York?”
Matthias replied, “Yeah.”
After all, they were all second- or third–generation elites in Baumond’s upper circles, so naturally, they knew each other.
It was just that he had taken a different path from them, so they weren’t particularly close.
After exchanging brief greetings with Matthias, Jorge and Xavier followed Albert to another area to discuss their business.
Wynn, however, stayed with Matthias.
She had also noticed Celeste, but after just one glance, she quickly withdrew her gaze, uninterested, and refocused – on Matthias.
“Mr. Yoder, did you just arrive?” she asked.
Matthias was highly capable in his own right, and on top of that, he was Zachary’s student.
Even though she could tell that he held some bias against her because of Celeste and had always been somewhat cold toward her, she still wanted to maintain a good relationship with him.
After all, once she became Zachary’s student as well, they would be spending more time together..
“I’ve been here for about half an hour,” Matthias replied absentmindedly while jotting down notes. “Ms. Locket, you look like you’ve been here for a while.”
Wynn said, “I arrived at InnovaTech this morning, but I was busy for most of the day. I got a little tired, so I went upstairs for a glass of water and a short break.”
That “going upstairs for a break” obviously meant going to Trevor’s office.
Hearing this, Matthias paused, and his tone grew even more indifferent. “Oh? So, Mr. Fleming is at InnovaTech too?”
“No, he’s at Fleming Group.”
In other words, even if Trevor wasn’t around, she could still come and go from his office freely? Did Trevor have no secrets from her at all?
Matthias gave a noncommittal “oh” and said nothing more. Instead, he stepped forward, notebook in hand, and approached Celeste, pointing at something in his notes.
Celeste glanced at it, nodded to indicate she understood, then turned back to her work.
Seeing this, Wynn asked, “Which part of the content has issues? Would you mind discussing it with me?”
Matthias replied coolly, “Ms. Locket, I’m working. It’s not very convenient.”
Wynn was about to speak when Celeste walked over and reported a set of data to Matthias.
The moment Wynn saw Celeste approach, her expression turned cold.
Celeste didn’t plan on looking at her, but when she noticed Wynn staring icily at her, she gave her a similarly cold

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
