Celeste found her book after Jordyn had left. With the book in hand, she sat by the large window on the second floor and started reading.
Half an hour later, Martha brought up a bowl of herbal medicine. “Oh, there you are, Cel.”
Celeste put away her book and took the bowl. “You didn’t have to bring it up, Grandma. I would’ve come down if you’d called me.”
“It’s better for you to rest rather than walk around too much.”
Martha sat down on the other couch. Frustrated, she complained, “I wanted to ask Trevor to bring this up for you, but he was busy tapping away on the keyboard in the study. It’s the weekend. What’s keeping him so busy?”
Earlier, Trevor had been walking Wynn through some project work. Hence, Celeste assumed he went to the study since it’d be easier to type on a keyboard.
Remaining silent, she took the bowl and drank it.
The medicine had cooled in the cold air, and Celeste downed it in just a few gulps. Martha wrinkled her brow.” That’s so bitter, Cel. Take it slow.”
Celeste set the bowl aside. “It’s not too bad, really.”
She rinsed her mouth with a sip of water, and Martha handed her a piece of candy.
Celeste didn’t eat it.
Dinner was almost ready. Since Celeste had had her dinner just now, she decided to continue reading.
Martha then went downstairs for dinner.
About half an hour later, Martha and Jordyn came upstairs with grim expressions.
“Trevor is still heading to the office at this hour. He’s going to burn himself out!” Martha said with a stern face. Engrossed in her reading, Celeste hadn’t even noticed the noise of the car outside.
If Trevor was going out at this hour, it must be an issue with Wynn’s project that he had been helping her with. Jordyn flopped onto Celeste’s lap, pouting “Dad refused to bring me along”
Trevor clearly wasn’t going to bring her along.
If he did, everyone at InnovaTech would know he was married–and that he had a daughter this old.
It would be so humiliating for Wynn.
There was no way Trevor would allow Wynn to be criticized
Celeste pushed Jordyn away lightly. “I’m still sick, Jo. Go sit somewhere else.”
“Okay…”
Since Celeste was still feeling a little unwell, she washed up and went to bed at around 10:00 pm.
The next morning, she realized Trevor had stayed out last night.

Martha had Bill check on Celeste again, and he prescribed two more doses of medicine to help with her recovery. Celeste planned to return to work, and Martha realized she couldn’t talk her out of it. Hence, she insisted that Celeste come back in the evening to take her medicine, saying she wasn’t able to brew it herself.
Seeing the determined look on Martha’s face, Celeste had no choice but to agree.
Jordyn asked Celeste to send her to school, and the latter rejected. “Next time, Jo. I didn’t drive here.”
She shrugged. “You can drive Dad’s car, Mom! I’ll give Dad a call now. I’m pretty sure he’ll say yes to this.” Without a reply from Celeste, Jordyn called Trevor,
It didn’t take long before the call connected.
Upon hearing the voice, Jordyn almost called out the person’s name. However, when she noticed Celeste was staring at her, she swallowed her words.
With a “forget it“, Jordyn ended the call.
Jordyn assumed she had hidden it well, but Celeste caught how she had almost blurted out Wynn’s name when the call connected.

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
