Miles was really starting to doubt reality.
Just then, Martha came up in the elevator and said, “Dinner is ready. Cel has already gone downstairs. Why are you two still sitting here? Come down and eat.”
Miles snapped back to his senses. “Oh! Got it, coming”
Trevor also stood up.
Downstairs, Jordyn was happily sitting on the sofa, leaning against Celeste and chatting with her. Celeste just sat beside her, watching and listening attentively.
It was a warm and loving mother–daughter moment.
But when Miles remembered that Celeste had given up custody of Jordyn without a word, the scene before him suddenly felt incredibly fake.
Martha was still unaware of the divorce. She smiled and called out to Celeste and Jordyn, “Cel, Jo, come eat.”
Celeste and Jordyn responded in unison, “Okay, coming.”
Jordyn held onto Celeste’s fingers, happily leading her toward the dining room.
Miles only watched in silence. Since he was already here, he sat down beside Trevor at the dinner table. Meanwhile, Celeste sat with Jordyn.
Martha beamed and said, “Miles, it’s been a while since you visited. When I saw you come in earlier, I had the kitchen prepare two more of your favorite dishes. You must eat plenty tonight.”
Miles grinned. “Of course, Grandma! I’m claiming all this meat for myself!”
Martha laughed. “Alright, alright.”
Meanwhile, Celeste was carefully picking food for Jordyn, deboning her fish with meticulous attention.
At first glance, nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
But…
Miles couldn’t help but take a closer look.
Noticing his gaze, Celeste shot him a cold glance.
This made Miles freeze.
In the past, because he, Trevor, and Beck were particularly close, Celeste had always tried to get along with him and Beck. But they had never taken her seriously.
Still, she never gave up easily.
She wasn’t the best at socializing, but she made an effort–always greeting them warmly, speaking with a gentle
smile.
But now, her eyes were indifferent, as if she were looking at a stranger with no connection to her. That was when he realized–Celeste’s attitude toward Jordyn seemed to have changed as well.
On the surface, she was still gentle and attentive. But the deep affection in her gaze… was no longer there.
Chapter 165
There was only detachment. That couldn’t be real, could it?
Miles could understand her change in attitude toward him. After all, no one would keep throwing themselves at people who always ignored them.
But Jordyn was her daughter. How was that possible?
Maybe this was just another one of her tactics. Was it a way to pel Trevor’s attention–retreating in order to
advance and win him back?
As this thought crossed his mind, Miles shifted his gaze toward ‘Trevor. And sure enough, Trevor was watching. Celeste too.
What was more was that he didn’t seen in any hurry to look away. That was something the old Trevor would never have done.
Miles scoffed in amusement. He knew it.
Martha suddenly cleared her throat. “Miles, what are you staring at?” She had noticed him glancing at Celeste all night and frowned slightly.
Miles quickly realized she had misunderstood and deliberately said something she would like to hear.
“I just noticed that Celeste seems especially quiet tonight. She’s not even talking to Trevor like she used to. I found it strange, so I couldn’t help but look at her.”

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Another saviour debt?? Seriously?...
I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
My fav novel post us more chap per day...
