Celeste went upstairs at around 7:00 am.
Jordyn had already woken up.
Seeing her return, Jordyn quickly switched away from the WhatsApp conversation.
Celeste pretended not to notice it and said casually, “Go wash up and get changed.”
“Okay!”
Celeste packed up her things and was about to head downstairs when she saw Hannah gathering her pajamas from last night to wash.
Thus, she said, “There’s no need to wash them, Hannah. You can just throw them away.
“The other stuff as well, though. Please throw them away for me; I won’t be needing them anymore.”
Her divorce with Trevor should be finalized soon.
Going forward, even if she was meeting Jordyn, she wouldn’t set foot here again, let alone stay the night
These belongings were no longer needed, nor did she wish to keep them.
There had always been issues between Celeste and Trevor.
Over the last few months, Celeste’s rare visits had already hinted that their relationship was nearing its end.
When Trevor had her things cleared out of the master bedroom earlier that month, it was as good as confirmation.
Now, with what Celeste had just said, Hannah had no doubts left.
Hannah wasn’t sure what to say all of a sudden. Softly, she muttered, “Alright.”
Carrying her bag downstairs, Celeste ran into Trevor, who had just come back from a jog.
. He took the initiative to greet her. “Good morning.”
Celeste nodded, replying in a flat tone, “Morning.”
Then, she placed her bag on the couch and went into the kitchen.
Trevor, on the other hand, went upstairs.
With breakfast still in the works, Hannah took care of the rest. Celeste went into the living room, reading a book while waiting for Jordyn to come downstairs.
With time running short and Jordyn still not downstairs, Celeste sat still, asking Hannah to go upstairs and urge her.
Back then, Celeste used to handle these kinds of tasks herself.
Yet now, she seemed more like a guest, showing less concern for Jordyn than before.
Hannah noticed this and, with a resigned nod, went upstairs.
“A new book?”
Celeste was so engrossed in the book that she didn’t realize Trevor was already downstairs.

She nodded.
Trevor stretched out his hand. “Can I take a look?”
Celeste went still for a moment. “Don’t you have it?”
It was the newest journal in the AI field.
When they had just married, she wasn’t yet familiar with Al, but she had noticed many AI–related books in his study.
Naturally, the latest journals in the field were part of the collection.
He probably had a habit of subscribing to them.
“I’ve been busy lately and haven’t had the chance to check it out.”
He reached out his hand to her.
Just then, Celeste heard Jordyn’s footsteps approaching.
Since she was going to have her breakfast, she passed the journal to Trevor.
Jordyn came downstairs, spotted them, and went over to grab Celeste’s hand. “Is breakfast ready, Mom?”
“Yup.”
Celeste headed toward the dining room. As Jordyn followed her, she turned back to Trevor, who still had the journal in his hand, and asked, “Are you not coming, Dad?”
He responded, “I’ll join in a second.”
After Celeste and Jordyn had settled at the table, Trevor came.
Just as he started eating, his phone buzzed with a notification.
He put down his utensils and picked up the phone.
Celeste quietly savored the breakfast. Finishing most of her food, she left the dining room and placed the book Trevor had left on the coffee table back into her bag. Once Jordyn was done with her breakfast, Celeste left with her without saying anything to Trevor.

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
