“I’ll hang up now. I have to work later,” Celeste added.
“Alright, bye, Mom!”
Celeste then ended the call.
After having breakfast, she went to the office.
Yesterday had been hectic, and today was just as demanding
But in the afternoon, she managed to leave a little early and went back to the Rodriguez residence to have lunch with Betty.
When she arrived, she noticed that Betty seemed a little down.
She glanced around the living room, and Jordyn was nowhere to be seen.
Jordyn was probably out having dinner with Trevor.
Celeste wasn’t fazed, but Betty noticed how attached Jordyn was to Trevor.
With a serious tone, she said, “Cel, when work isn’t as hectic, you really need to spend more time with Jo. Otherwise…”
Celeste nodded absentmindedly. “I know. I will. Let’s eat first.”
Betty sighed, letting the conversation end there.
After dinner, Celeste chatted for a bit with Betty before she went upstairs to rest.
At around 9:00 pm, she went downstairs, only to see the intercom from the security booth buzz, notifying them of a visitor.
Celeste glanced over and saw it was Trevor’s car.
She frowned. Before she could react, her phone rang.
It was a call from Jordyn.
Betty hadn’t gone to bed yet. Stepping out of her room and taking in the scene, she quickly grasped that Trevor- had just brought Jordyn back.
Hence, she quickly instructed the security to let Trevor in.
Celeste answered her phone. After a few words with Jordyn, she hung up.
Moments later, Trevor’s car rolled to a stop at the entrance of the Rodriguez residence.
Jordyn hopped out of the car happily. “Mom, I’m back!”
Céleste wore a faint smile. Betty was very happy when she saw Jordyn.
The car door was still ajar, and Trevor remained seated inside.
Stepping out, he grabbed Jordyn’s forgotten backpack along with a cake box and headed toward Celeste and Jordyn.
Celeste remained silent.

It was only then that Jordyn realized she had left her things behind. “Thank you, Dad!”
Trevor hummed a reply, staring at Celeste and Betty. He greeted Betty, “Madam Klein, good evening.”
Betty nodded nonchalantly as a reply. With no other option, Celeste took the cake box from Trevor’s hand.
Jordyn was about to tell Celeste how good the cake tasted, but before she could finish, Celeste cut her off and said, “Jo, say goodbye to your dad.”
Jordyn didn’t dwell on it further. “Is Dad leaving already?”
Trevor answered with a smile, “Yeah.”
“Alright. Goodbye, Dad!”
“Goodbye.”
As his words fell, he gave Betty a slight nod before turning and heading back to his car.
Celeste, holding both the cake and Jordyn’s hand, led Jordyn inside without a second glance at Trevor.
Moments later, Trevor’s car pulled away.
As soon as she stepped into the house, Jordyn remarked happily, “Mom, Granny, this is the cake Dad and I bought for you. It’s your favorite flavor–strawberry! Go ahead and give it a try.”
A subtle hint of Wynn’s perfume clung to Jordyn.
Celeste set the cake aside and said, “I just ate, so I’m not really hungry. Let’s save it for later.”
Betty nodded in agreement.
“Oh…” Jordyn mumbled.

Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...

I read this novel recently. I just feel, it is exhausting being in Celeste shoes. Not getting a clear break, on the other side - Trevor is comfortably two timing and dragging. He is not really worth and should face the consequences. On the other hand, i also feel that probably he is putting on a mask to push Celeste to achieve her dreams and eventually became a hero. However, his attitude and physical relationship with Wynn - is not justifying my this theory. Let's just wait and watch, i hope it is not too much of a drag...
Depressing if Trevor give up Celeste and propose to his mistress! Poor Jordyn. Thank goodness,I am busy with patients' issues. I can stop here....
Will it make difference to Trevor if he knows how his mistress family malign the mother of his daughter even if he and Celeste are divorcing for his mistress?...
