Beck still continued to ignore Linda.

Just then, someone happened to come over and greet him. The person also knew Celeste and Matthias, so the four of them started chatting.

Yet, Beck was engaged in a long conversation with Matthias and Celeste.

Hearing Miles‘ comment, Trevor glanced in their direction but showed no reaction.

Wynn withdrew her gaze as well–only to spot Kieran just as he stepped into the banquet hall.

Trevor followed her gaze and also saw Kieran

Dressed in a nice suit, Kieran looked even more striking and aloof than usual.

When Wynn looked over, Kieran happened to meet her gaze

Wynn smiled and was just about to walk toward him when Kieran looked away and entered the hall from the side with his friends, completely ignoring her.

Wynn stopped in her tracks, let out a helpless laugh, and turned to Trevor

“He’s probably still mad at me for telling his family where he was. He wouldn’t even pick up my calls, and now that he sees me, he’s still giving me the cold shoulder.”

Trevor replied, “He is still young. A bit of a temper is to be expected.”

Wynn agreed.

Kieran had no idea what Wynn and Trevor thought of him.

Shortly after entering the hall, he caught sight of Celeste and Matthias out of the corner of his eye when he was about to greet the host.

His fingers tightened around his wine glass.

He didn’t expect them to be at the banquet as well.

Celeste was wearing a light blue, intricately embroidered gown that hugged her figure, perfectly complementing her quiet and cool demeanor. She looked pure, flawless, and absolutely stunning.

This was the first time Kieran had ever seen Celeste in an evening gown. So, his gaze lingered for a long time.

His friend beside him noticed his distraction and followed his line of sight. When he saw Celeste, he let out a low whistle.

“Holy shit. She’s gorgeous. Who is she?”

Kieran snapped out of it. “Celeste Rodriguez.”

“What? That’s Celeste? Damn, I wasn’t expecting her to be this beautiful.”

Kieran didn’t respond. He set down his wine glass and strode toward Celeste and Matthias.

“Mr. Yoder. Ms. Rodriguez.”

Celeste and Matthias turned around, mildly surprised to see Kieran. They didn’t expect him to be here either. So, they nodded in acknowledgment.

Beck, noticing Kieran, turned to Matthias and asked, “This Is…?”

Matthias introduced him. “This is Kieran Gibson.” Then, he briefly explained Kieran’s background before turning to Kieran.

“And this is Beck Harper.”

Beck recalled that there was indeed a prestigious Gibson family in Baumond previously. After Matthias‘ introduction, he greeted Kieran. “Mr. Gibson.”

Kieran returned the greeting.

The group fell into conversation.
