Kieran frowned. "Not a single lead?"
"Yeah," his friend replied. "I heard she got married pretty young, but apparently her relationship with her husband wasn't great.
"The Rodriguez family's neighbors say they've never even seen the guy. It seems like her family doesn't like him either. They won't even mention him."
After a short pause, he added, "Also, they already have a child."
Kieran abruptly looked up, thinking he must have misheard. "What did you say?"
"It's true. I was just as shocked when I found out. You'd never guess, just looking at her."
Indeed.
He had worked with Celeste at YodaVision for so long and had never once heard her mention a child. Nothing about her gave that impression either.
Seeing how stunned he was, his friend asked, "Want me to keep going?"
The implication was clear—Celeste had been married and had a child. Would Kieran still like her? If not, then there was no point in continuing to dig into her past.
Kieran stood there silently.
He had everything going for him, yet his love life had always been a mess.
The first woman he liked ended up falling for someone else while he was still pursuing her.
And now, just as he had finally started to develop feelings for someone new, he found out she had not only been married, but she also had a child.
Who could accept that?
His friend sighed and patted him on the shoulder. When he was just about to leave, he heard Celeste's voice, still engaged in conversation with Tanner.
Kieran turned his head toward her and couldn't look away.
After a few seconds, his gaze steadied. "Tell me the rest."
His friend, already mentally checked out and looking to flirt elsewhere, was momentarily confused. "What?"
Then he realized what Kieran meant and stared at him in shock. "Seriously? Are you for real?"
Kieran looked at him but said nothing.
His friend gaped for a while, about to say more when Kieran suddenly caught sight of Wynn approaching.
She walked over and started chatting with someone nearby.
Seeing her, Kieran hesitated.
His friend recognized Wynn too.
When she glanced over, he awkwardly raised his hand and greeted her with a polite smile, "Ms. Locket."
Wynn nodded and looked toward Kieran.
Now, hearing Linda say this, she smiled faintly, feeling reassured.
Just then, Beck and Miles arrived and offered apologies to the host. "Sorry for being late, something came up on the way."
"It's okay. We're not strangers. There's no need to apologize."
The moment Wynn saw Beck, the smile on her face faded instantly.
After Beck greeted the host, he looked straight at Celeste and walked toward her without hesitation.
In his eyes, there was only Celeste. He didn't even seem to notice that Wynn was there.
It was Miles who saw the two women and signaled to Beck. He then looked over and gave Wynn a brief nod.
Wynn saw everything.
Linda, still clueless, was delighted to see Beck. "It's Beck! Let's go say hi—"
Before she could finish her sentence, she saw Beck walk toward Celeste and Matthias.
She huffed, "Why is Beck going to them again? So annoying."
It had been a while since Beck had shown up.
The moment he appeared, Kieran's expression darkened. And when he saw Beck walk toward Celeste, he turned and made his way over to her too.

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
