Before the doctor could respond, a nearby young nurse chimed in, answering Celeste's question.
"The patient in Room 1003 is an elderly lady. She fainted yesterday due to high blood pressure. After some tests, it turned out to be nothing serious.
"She could've been discharged the same day, but her family insisted she stay for two more days for observation.
"She's a picky one too—refused to stay in a regular ward and demanded a VIP room. Her family was quite pushy as well.
"Our VIP ward has been fully booked these past few days, but they're related to someone important.
"After that person made a few calls, they just took over a room someone else had already reserved..."
The nurse kept talking nonstop until the doctor beside her gave a small cough, worried someone might overhear them.
The nurse fell silent.
So, that meant they would be leaving tomorrow?
If that was the case, Celeste felt somewhat relieved. At least there was less risk that Isabelle would run into members of the Lockets or the Shaws.
But still…
What she really feared was that some people might intentionally try to provoke her mother.
Thinking this over, Celeste, still uneasy, turned to the doctor and nurse and said, "My mother is currently not in a good mental state—she can't handle emotional triggers.
"Please keep a close eye on anyone entering or leaving her ward. Aside from familiar medical staff and a few of us from the family, no one else is allowed to enter without our permission.
"Also, if anyone asks about my mother's condition, please notify me immediately."
The doctor replied, "Of course, Ms. Rodriguez. Don't worry, we'll handle it."
Even with the doctor's reassurance, Celeste couldn't fully relax.
Just like she had been asking around about the Lockets and the Shaws, it was likely that they, too, would try to find out what was going on with her side.
Still, to be sure, Ruby asked, "The patient's family looked familiar to me. Is their surname Rodriguez? Is the patient named Isabelle?"
"Yes. You know them?"
Ruby smiled, "Oh yes, very well actually. We're old acquaintances." Then she added, "Since it's multiple organ failure, I suppose there's not much time left, is there?"
"That would've been true, but they're powerful and well-connected. They brought in Dr. Tindall, who works miracles. Apparently, the chances of recovery are looking quite good now."
At that, the smiles on Ruby and Patricia's faces faded a little.
After the nurse left, Ruby said with a sneer, "They're really getting off too easy."
Then she muttered, "That brat really gained a lot from clinging to Matthias."
If Celeste hadn't known Matthias, Isabelle might have already—
Lilian said nothing, but her brows slowly furrowed.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Another saviour debt?? Seriously?...
I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
My fav novel post us more chap per day...
