Counting down the days, the ones waiting for Celeste's divorce weren't just Matthias and Caleb, but Beck was as well.
So, besides Matthias, Beck also knew that Thursday was the day Celeste and Trevor were supposed to finalize their divorce.
He had been on business trips out of town frequently. But this time, he specifically rushed back at dawn on Thursday.
After a few hours of rest at home, around 10 in the morning, after he handled some matters, Beck ultimately couldn't suppress the urge to call Miles.
"I've been really busy lately, and it's been a while since I last had a meal with you and Trevor. Want to grab lunch together today?"
Miles replied, "I'm free, but Trevor won't be able to make it. He went abroad on a business trip a few days ago and still hasn't returned."
Beck's heart tightened. "Trevor... went on a business trip?"
So that means they couldn't finalize the divorce today?
He hadn't been in touch with Trevor or Wynn much recently. Calling Miles was actually his way of probing into the divorce situation.
If they were already divorced, he'd be able to—
He didn't expect this outcome. "When will Trevor be back?" he asked.
Miles wasn't paying close attention to the divorce anymore and honestly hadn't realized their cooling-off period had already ended.
He answered casually, "No idea. You know how this time of year is—he's always swamped with business overseas. Who knows how long he'll be gone this time?"
Beck lowered his gaze and said nothing more.
After hanging up, he looked at Celeste's contact info on his phone. He had originally thought he'd get the chance to call her today.
Now, it seemed he still had to wait.
…
Busy days flew by quickly.
Naturally, the Rodriguez family was aware that Trevor's business trip had caused the divorce to be delayed again.
That night, after Jordyn arrived and they were having dinner, Betty couldn't help asking, "Jordyn, do you know when your father is coming back?"
Jordyn didn't understand the complicated thoughts the adults were having.
While eating, she answered honestly, "Dad said it's still uncertain. But when I talked to him on the phone yesterday, he said he probably won't make it back in time for my birthday."
Betty frowned.
It had already been nearly a week since the end of the cooling-off period.
Trevor still couldn't confirm his return date. Was he planning to only return after the decision period was over?
If that was the case, it meant they would have to wait for another full cooling-off period just to get divorced.
Hearing Jordyn's words, Celeste also furrowed her brow.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Why am i reading this novel still? In what hope, seriously? To have Trevor regret his choices? To get some clarity or closure on so many gaps this novel offers? To have Shaws & Lockets ever face repercussions? To get clarity on Celeste's mother life? Because seriously, 720+ chapters gone by and from last 350 chapter - there has been no significant progress, the story has been playing around in loops. This is just sad...
No updates still😡😡😡😡😡😡...

No updates???...
Hello author, are u experiencing writer’s block and don’t know what to write and so u are dragging the story? Please we are loosing interest. It is more like a diary update. Why should always the evil win? It’s really sad to see Celeste being continuously provoked without her doing anything. Please add some new plot saying the accident and rescue are actually Wynn’s plans. Please make Trevor n Jordyn realise the worth of celeste even if they are not together. Please make Trevor apologise to Celeste for his neglect. Or if Trevor is plotting a revenge against Lockets n Spencers for their betrayal then atleast show that. Please do something before everyone loose interest n stop reading....
What a small chapters 😑😑😑...
...why is it still the same old loop? C'mon add something new please. I'd really hate to drop this book after following for so long...
