Celeste lifted her head unintentionally, only to catch the scorn and arrogance in Wynn's eyes.
The moment their gazes met, Wynn withdrew her eyes.
Matthias curled his lip. "She really is full of herself."
Watching the guests eagerly chatting with Wynn and Harvey, all hoping to collaborate with them, Celeste tightened her grip on her glass and lowered her gaze.
Then, she spoke quietly, "She has someone who loves her—someone who gives her all the confidence she needs. Of course, she's arrogant—that's normal."
She paused and then added, "There are a few very capable talents in the Locket family."
Matthias knew that she'd been wanting to take some action against the Locket family lately.
But perhaps she didn't want him getting too involved so that he wouldn't be implicated if something went wrong; she never let him ask much.
Now that she had brought it up herself, he realized things weren't going smoothly. He leaned closer and whispered, "Not going well?"
"Mm."
She had broken into the Locket Tech's system several times, but the defenses were clearly far stronger than before.
Even though she had been extremely discreet, the IT experts that Trevor had hired for the Locket family had nearly traced it back to her.
It was obvious that Trevor was helping them guard themselves against her.
With his deep pockets and extensive connections, Trevor could funnel endless manpower, resources, and capital into Locket Tech.
So, whether it was through cyberattacks or other methods of sabotage, bringing the Locket family down was proving nearly impossible.
The reason no one in the Fleming family could restrain him was that his empire was simply too vast.
Rumor had it that years ago, some analysts had already calculated that his personal wealth surpassed that of the entire Fleming Group.
Though YodaVision had developed well in recent years, compared to Celeste and Matthias's personal fortunes, they were still on a completely different level from Trevor.
For him, propping up both InnovaTech and Locket Tech at the same time was hardly a challenge.
Their car wasn't parked far from Trevor's. And they had guessed right—he really had come just to fetch Wynn.
As they reached their car, they saw Trevor and Wynn waving goodbye to Harvey, then getting into the car together and driving off.
It was late at night, and he was here to pick her up. So, they were probably already living together.
Thinking of this, Matthias pursed his lips and muttered, "Get some rest."
Celeste nodded.
With that, they each got into their own cars and left.

In order to hasten the progress of their project, Celeste, Matthias, and several engineers from YodaVision headed to the airport to meet with people from Fleming Group, preparing to travel to Jorburgh for system testing.
But just as they arrived at the airport and joined the group, they saw Trevor and Wynn there too.

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
