"It's fine, Grandma," Celeste said. "I still have some work to finish. So, I'll skip dinner."
Of course, it wasn't really about work—she simply didn't want to stay here any longer than necessary.
Technically, since she and Trevor weren't divorced yet, she was still part of the Fleming family, so there was no real reason for her to avoid staying.
But in Celeste's mind, ever since they decided to divorce, she had already started drawing a line between herself and Trevor.
Martha understood that much.
Since Celeste insisted, she didn't press further. Instead, she shot Trevor a sharp glare.
Trevor pretended not to notice. Looking at Celeste, he said, "I'll drive you."
"No need," Celeste declined. "You're busy. Let the driver take me."
Trevor didn't insist. "Alright."
Celeste went back to the room, grabbed her bag, and got ready to leave.
Both Martha and Trevor walked her downstairs.
That was when Jordyn realized her mother was leaving. She clung to her, unwilling to part. "Mom, you're going back already?"
"Mm." Celeste ruffled her hair gently. "Take good care of yourself. Don't spend all your time playing."
"Okay." Jordyn hugged her tightly, refusing to let go. "School starts in a few days. Can you take me on the first day?"
Celeste paused, then said, "Alright. If I'm free, I'll come pick you up."
Martha accompanied Celeste to the car.
Glancing at Trevor standing not far away, watching silently, she lowered her voice and said to Celeste, "Trevor was supposed to go back to the office today, but he stayed to take care of you..."
Celeste knew that Trevor had done all of it voluntarily and that Martha hadn't forced him.
Lowering her eyes, Celeste answered softly, "Grandma—"
"I know." Martha sighed, patting her hand. "It's just that I can't bear to see you go."
If only she and Trevor could always be like this, how good would that be? It was just such a pity.
After a few more words, Celeste finally got into the car and left.
Trevor's response came quickly. "Okay."
Celeste didn't reply again. She leaned back against her chair and shut the computer.
No more messages came from Trevor either.
…
The next morning, when Celeste arrived at YodaVision, she forwarded the document to Matthias.
After looking it over, his brows furrowed. "You just recovered, and you were up late again?"
Celeste paused before answering, "The last part wasn't done by me."
"Hm?" Matthias froze for a second, then quickly caught on. "Trevor did it?"
"Mm."
Matthias was stunned. "The sun must be rising in the west."
"Maybe," Celeste said.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Another saviour debt?? Seriously?...
I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
My fav novel post us more chap per day...
