Miles saw everything that happened on Celeste's side.
But when he noticed Kieran and Caleb looking after Celeste and Lottie, he simply assumed it was out of gentlemanliness and didn't think much of it.
After all, there were about eight or nine people in Celeste's group, with only Celeste and Lottie being women. It was perfectly normal for the men to take care of their female companions.
Just as he looked away, Wynn returned.
"You're back," he said. "I was just about to call you. They've got some barbecue ready. Come eat."
Wynn smiled. "Sure."
As soon as she finished speaking, Linda and her friends came back too. They had gone for a short walk nearby, and Linda's mood had improved.
When she heard there was a barbecue, she smiled faintly and was just about to say something when she suddenly caught sight of a familiar figure.
She froze for a moment, thinking she might have seen wrong. Then she looked again and realized she hadn't.
"...Is that Celeste? What's she doing here?"
Celeste had actually wanted to help with the grilling earlier, but Caleb and the others wouldn't let her.
Not wanting to get in the way, she'd stepped aside for a bit.
Because of the umbrella they were using, Linda's group couldn't clearly see the faces of Caleb and the others—only Celeste.
Wynn already knew that Celeste and Matthias were camping nearby too. She had been at the campsite for a little while but hadn't gone looking for them.
Now that she heard Linda's comment, she turned her head to look in that direction, and sure enough, she saw Celeste and Lottie.
Celeste must have sensed their gaze, because she turned her head and met Wynn's eyes.
She froze, and before she could react, she saw him walking toward Celeste, handing her a freshly grilled skewer.
She paused again, speechless. Linda and the others saw it too, and their expressions stiffened.
Caleb noticed them a moment later. Seeing that they were not far away, he looked a little surprised, but simply gave them a polite nod before turning back.
By that time, Celeste and the rest had almost finished eating—they'd had plenty of food and drinks already.
After handing her the skewer, Caleb asked, "Do you want anything else?"
Celeste shook her head. "No, I'm good. I'm full."
Caleb smiled. "Alright. If you want more later, I'll make it for you."
Before Celeste could answer, Kieran walked over with food in his hands.

I think there wont be a closure anytime soon, with the speed with which the story is flowing. New characters are being introduced, sides and opinions are being formed blindly - yet no one is ever discussing anything with each other. This is by far the most frustrating novel i have read and yet, come back for an update in a hope that there may be something in reader's favor now. Sigh! There is nothing. If author doesn't want to take Celeste Trevor route, then let Celeste move on like Trevor has. Enough with this beating around the bush....

I can't even believe there are almost 800 chapters and absolutely no story line advances. Basically Trevor is absolute trash and deserves to be mocked and scorned because of his cheating nature, bringing his mistress around like he's single and flaunting the billions he spends on her as if he is not already married for 7 years. Celeste deserves everyone to know her story and be free of this loser....
Very slow in updating chapters😔.... Tat too only one... It vil be useful if updates have 5 chap a day or atleast 3 per day...

Why am i reading this novel still? In what hope, seriously? To have Trevor regret his choices? To get some clarity or closure on so many gaps this novel offers? To have Shaws & Lockets ever face repercussions? To get clarity on Celeste's mother life? Because seriously, 720+ chapters gone by and from last 350 chapter - there has been no significant progress, the story has been playing around in loops. This is just sad...
