Hearing her daughter's words, Ruby didn't think much of it and immediately urged, "If you have something to say, just say it. Everyone's here. We can all help you figure it out."
Linda hesitated for a moment, but finally forced herself to speak.
"It's... It's about the diamond. You know, the one Trev bought for over four billion dollars?
"A while ago, I overheard that brat Jordyn saying... that Trev actually gave it to Celeste as her birthday present... shortly after her birthday."
Everyone present, including Ruby, had their minds fixated on the divorce matter.
None of them expected Linda to bring up something they considered irrelevant.
But when she finished speaking, the room fell silent. All of them stared at her, momentarily unsure if they'd heard correctly.
When the realization sank in, Ruby immediately frowned and snapped loudly, "How is that possible? Linda, don't spout nonsense!"
Linda panicked. "I'm not making it up! It's true! Why—why would I joke about something like this?"
In fact, the moment she spoke and they processed her words, everyone already understood that it had to be true.
It was just that...
They never expected the "thing" she wanted to say to be this significant.
Trevor actually bought that diamond for Celeste?
Lennox reacted quickly and said, "Even if he did buy it for her, it doesn't necessarily mean anything. Maybe they exchanged something. Maybe it was some sort of deal?"
Ruby bobbed her head urgently. "Yes, exactly!"
The others had the same initial thought.
But then memories surfaced.
The scenes of Trevor and Celeste together recently...
In the past, everyone said Trevor despised Celeste. Even for Jordyn and Martha's sake, he had been unwilling to spend much time with her.
But recently, whenever they saw the two together, Trevor's attitude toward her was gentle, proactive even.
Lennox had thought of this too.
Something flashed in her eyes as she suddenly asked Linda, "You said Jordyn told you this? Does... Does Wynn know?"
Normally, Linda could only hear things from Jordyn through Wynn.
If Linda knew, then Wynn surely would.
Linda answered honestly, "She knows. But she didn't seem to care much about it."
Everyone froze.
Lilian's hand tightened sharply around her cup.
Lennox didn't notice the change in Lilian's expression.
Hearing Linda's answer, her face darkened slightly as she asked again, "And how long have you known about this?"
"Since the day after we found out Trev got a doctor for Celeste's grandmother."

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
