Back in her room, Celeste pulled open the drawer only to discover that the marriage certificate was gone.
A few days ago, she had clearly seen Jordyn put it back after looking at it.
Could it be that Jordyn had come over again these past two days and taken the certificate?
Celeste pressed her lips together and picked up her phone. Just as she was about to contact Jordyn, a message from Trevor came in.
"There's been a serious issue with a major project in Andostan. I'm on the way to the airport now. I won't be able to make it to the courthouse today. Sorry."
Celeste tightened her lips, her expression darkening.
In the end, she couldn't hold back and sent him another message. "I understand that you're busy with work, but how many times has this been already?"
Whether Trevor was occupied or already on the plane, there was no reply even after a long while.
When Celeste arrived at the company, Matthias didn't look as surprised as before when he saw her.
Lowering his voice, he asked, "Because of that innovative drug project in Andostan, he flew there today, right? So, you still didn't manage to get divorced today?"
Celeste was taken aback. "How do you know?"
"I just saw the news. The Internet's in an uproar right now."
In his message, Trevor had only mentioned that a major project had run into trouble. He hadn't specified which one, and Celeste truly didn't know what exactly had happened.
After hearing Matthias say this, she went online to check and realized the situation really was quite serious. No wonder Trevor had rushed to Andostan.
Matthias said, "Once he's there, he probably won't be back for at least ten days. Don't tell me you still won't manage to get divorced this month?"
To be honest, even he hadn't expected Celeste and Trevor's divorce to run into so many twists and turns.
He had thought that since both of them were so determined to divorce, and everything had gone smoothly during the initial discussions, the actual process would be straightforward.
Who would've thought that at this stage, one thing after another would keep getting in the way, making it impossible for them to finalize it?
With the news about the Andostan innovative drug project blowing up to this extent, the Lockets and the Shaws had naturally heard about it as well.
Wynn also already knew that Trevor had boarded a plane early that morning and flown to Andostan.
After receiving the news, she fell silent.
Ruby couldn't help saying, "Today was supposed to be the day they finalized their divorce. How could it happen to be such a coincidence—"
Wasn't it exactly that? How could it be such a coincidence?
No one else responded.

This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
