Chapter 64
Celeste instinctively declined. “No need to trouble yoursel ll pick it up myself.”
Her straightforward refusal led to a brief silence on the other end.
“Mr. Harper?” she prompted.
“Alright. I’ll send you the contact information for the repali shop shortly.”
“Thank you. I appreciate it.”
Beck didn’t say anything else and hung up the call.
With her injured ankle, it was impossible for Celeste to pick up the car herself. After thinking it over, she decided to ask Matthias for help.
Matthias agreed. He promised to bring the car back once he finished his work.
That evening, Celeste ordered takeout. Just as she finished eating, her phone rang. It was Jordyn.
“When are you coming home?” Jordyn asked.
Celeste replied directly, “I sprained my ankle and can’t walk easily. I’m staying elsewhere to recover, so I won’t be coming home. You should go to bed early.”
Jordyn gasped. “What? Mom, you hurt your ankle? Is it serious? Does it hurt a lot?”
“It hurts a bit, but it’s not serious. It’ll be fine in a few days.
“Alright,” Jordyn sounded somewhat relieved but still concerned. “Where are you staying, Mom? Dad’s coming home later. We’ll come visit you tomorrow.”
Celeste shook her head. “No need. I can take care of myself You just focus on school.”
“Okay,”
They chatted a bit longer before ending the call.
Later, when Trevor came home, Jordyn saw him and immediately called out, “Dad, Mom hurt her ankle! She’s staying somewhere else to recover!”
Trevor gave a calm, “Hmm,” then removed his impeccably tailored suit jacket and handed it to Peter, the butler. ” I know,” he said.
“Huh?” Jordyn looked up in surprise. “How do you know, Dad? Did Mom tell you?”
Trevor sat down and took the glass of water Hannah handed him. “No. I saw it happen myself.”
“You saw it?” Jordyn blinked in confusion. “You were there when Mom got hurt?”
Trevor gave a nonchalant “Hmm.”
Jordyn seemed to connect the dots. “Oh, right! Mom works at your company, so you must’ve been there when she got hurt, right?”
“No,” Trevor replied evenly. “Mom doesn’t work at my company anymore.”
“What?” Jordyn looked up, puzzled. “Then where does Mom work now?”
“Somewhere she likes,” Trevor replied,

“Oh.. Foh!
After finishing his water, Trevor placed the glass down and stood up. Before heading upstairs, he ruffled Jordyn’s hair. “Sleep early.”
“I will!” Jordyn responded cheerfully.
Around 8.00 pm, Matthias returned with Celeste’s car.
Celeste took the keys and asked, “How much was the repale? I’ll pay you back.”
Matthias sat down on the couch and shrugged. “How would know?”
“Huh?” Celeste frowned. “How did you get the car without paying?”
“No one mentioned payment. They just handed over the car when they heard it was yours.”
Celeste froze.
So, Beck had paid for it?
She hadn’t expected that at all.
“What’s wrong?” Matthias asked when he noticed her change in expression.
“Nothing,” Celeste replied while shaking her head.
“Then let’s get started on the assignment. I want to finish it and get some rest. I’ve been running around all day. I’m exhausted!”
He was referring to the exhibit review that Zachary had assigned them that morning.
“Alright,” Celeste said.
Before starting, she thought of the repair bill and said, “I’ll make a quick call first.”
“Go ahead”
Celeste immediately dialed Beck’s number.
The call was picked up almost instantly.
“Hello?”
“Mr. Harper, it’s me, Celeste.”
“I know. What’s the matter?
“It’s about the car. I picked it up, but I wanted to ask–did you cover the repair cost? If so, how much was it? I’ll transfer the money to you right away.”

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Another saviour debt?? Seriously?...
I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
My fav novel post us more chap per day...
