After they had been discussing work for a while, they paused for a break and casual conversation. At that moment, Celeste's phone rang.
The call was from Jordyn.
After excusing herself, she stood up to walk out while answering the call. "Jo, what's the matter?"
"Shanice is back in Baumond. We're meeting for dinner tonight. Do you want to come too, Mom?"
Celeste replied, "Sorry, I have a work engagement tonight and can't get away. So, I won't be joining you."
As she spoke, she pushed open the door and stepped outside.
Celeste truly was busy and couldn't leave. After chatting a little longer with Jordyn, she returned to the room and continued discussing work with Trevor and Quincy.
Once the discussion ended, Celeste and Kieran left.
Trevor stayed behind to talk to Quincy a bit longer before heading home to pick up Jordyn for dinner.

Jordyn hadn't seen Shanice for quite some time and had prepared many gifts. She was extremely excited.
When Trevor returned, she eagerly had people load all the gifts into the car before saying, "Dad, I called Mom to invite her, but she has a work engagement and can't make it."
Trevor nodded. "I know."
Jordyn looked surprised. "Huh? You knew?"
"Yes. I was right beside her when she took your call."
"Oh," Jordyn frowned slightly, feeling a little disappointed.

This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
