The next morning, Celeste and Trevor both went to the courthouse as agreed.

News of their filing for divorce that morning quickly reached Miles and Beck.
Miles said to Beck, "They should've done this a long time ago. When they decided not to divorce before, I already thought it was unnecessary. They both have someone else now—divorce was inevitable. There's no point dragging it out.
"As for Jo, I think it's Celeste's issue. If she truly cares about Jo, shouldn't she let go of the past and get along peacefully with Wynn for the child's sake now that she has found her own happiness? Wouldn't that be best for Jo?"
But Celeste and Matthias weren't actually a real couple.

Seeing Miles criticizing Celeste, Beck said, "Jo is her daughter. Even if she has already let go of Trevor and found her own happiness, you're asking her to let Jo grow close to someone who once hurt her. If it were you, you'd find it hard to be that magnanimous too, wouldn't you?"
Back when he didn't like Celeste, seeing Jo grow fond of Wynn, he had thought it was only natural—Wynn was capable, gracious, and kind to the child.

I think there wont be a closure anytime soon, with the speed with which the story is flowing. New characters are being introduced, sides and opinions are being formed blindly - yet no one is ever discussing anything with each other. This is by far the most frustrating novel i have read and yet, come back for an update in a hope that there may be something in reader's favor now. Sigh! There is nothing. If author doesn't want to take Celeste Trevor route, then let Celeste move on like Trevor has. Enough with this beating around the bush....

I can't even believe there are almost 800 chapters and absolutely no story line advances. Basically Trevor is absolute trash and deserves to be mocked and scorned because of his cheating nature, bringing his mistress around like he's single and flaunting the billions he spends on her as if he is not already married for 7 years. Celeste deserves everyone to know her story and be free of this loser....

Why am i reading this novel still? In what hope, seriously? To have Trevor regret his choices? To get some clarity or closure on so many gaps this novel offers?
