Matthias paused. “What? This is such a coincidence.”
Trevor replied calmly, “It is.”
Matthias said, “There are a lot of us. Mr. Fleming, why don’t you take the elevator first? We’ll wait for the next
one.”
“Sure. See you next time.”
“See you.”
The elevator doors closed, leaving Celeste, Matthias, and the others to wait for the next one.
When the elevator arrived, Celeste’s phone rang as they stepped inside. It was Jordyn calling. After excusing herself from the others, Celeste answered, “Hello?”
“Mom, are you off work? When are you coming home?”
Ever since Celeste injured her ankle, Jordyn had been calling her daily to check in. When she heard yesterday that Celeste’s ankle had healed, she had asked when Celeste would be coming home.
Celeste had been too busy with work to promise anything yesterday. Now, hearing Jordyn’s question again, she said, “I just finished up. I’ll be home soon.
By the time she ended the call, the elevator had reached the ground floor.
Henry, who was curious, asked, “Ms. Rodriguez, do you have a child?”
“Yes,” Celeste replied.
“Really? I had no idea.”
He had assumed Celeste and Matthias were a couple. After all, their relationship seemed close, and Matthias was particularly attentive to her.
Jonathan was equally surprised. Celeste looked so young. It was hard to believe she already had a child.
Casually, he asked, “Is your husband in the same line of work as us?”
Celeste hesitated briefly before answering, “Sort of.”
Henry, having discussed technical topics with Celeste before, knew she was highly skilled in her field. He also assumed her husband was in the same industry. He wanted to ask his name but stopped himself when he noticed Celeste’s detached demeanor. It seemed as if she didn’t want to talk about it.
Matthias, on the other hand, was tempted to reveal that Celeste’s husband was none other than Trevor, their company’s boss.
But since Celeste was on the verge of divorcing him, and considering that they would have frequent contact with Henry and Jonathan in the future, revealing this could lead to awkwardness or even someone targeting Celeste to please Wynn.
To avoid unnecessary trouble, Matthias ultimately kept quiet.
After leaving InnovaTech, Celeste and Matthias got into their respective cars and went their separate ways.

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
