It was still morning, so most bars hadn't opened yet.
Matthias was still worrying about where to take Celeste for a drink when she received two messages from Zachary.
Ten minutes later, Celeste headed to the military base instead of heading to a bar.
Every time she went to the base, she ended up working herself to the bone. This time was no exception.
The very day she arrived, she pulled an all-nighter. It wasn't until the following evening that things finally slowed down.
It was past eight at night, but she hadn't had dinner yet.
Having just left the data room, she was on her way to the cafeteria when she spotted a tall figure standing in the corridor outside. Their eyes met.
Celeste paused slightly.
Caleb, however, walked straight to her.
"I heard you arrived yesterday, but I've been tied up with missions these past few days. Just finished not long ago."
"...Mm, you've worked hard."
"Want to grab a meal together?"
It was obvious he had been waiting for her, so she could only agree.
They chatted casually as they walked to the cafeteria.
During the meal, they talked about their respective work. When one topic ended, Celeste looked up and noticed Caleb had stopped eating and was watching her thoughtfully.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"Bad mood?"
Celeste froze for a moment.
These past two days, she'd been so busy she hadn't had time to think. The heaviness in her chest had also been dulled by work. She thought she was doing fine since she hadn't dwelled on anything.
"Is it that obvious?"
"Not very. But I can tell," he said.

His expression was calm and unreadable, but Celeste somehow felt like he had misunderstood the situation. So, she couldn't help explaining, "Prof, we're not…"
"Okay."
Before she could finish, Zachary acknowledged her with a brief response and turned to leave.
…
Celeste left the base on the afternoon of the fourth day.
She saw Caleb at the exit when she was leaving, making her freeze for a moment.
The car that was sending her off came to a stop.
Caleb got in as well, taking a seat beside her with a smile. "It just so happens that I'm on leave today. I'll go with you."
Celeste couldn't say anything.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Why am i reading this novel still? In what hope, seriously? To have Trevor regret his choices? To get some clarity or closure on so many gaps this novel offers? To have Shaws & Lockets ever face repercussions? To get clarity on Celeste's mother life? Because seriously, 720+ chapters gone by and from last 350 chapter - there has been no significant progress, the story has been playing around in loops. This is just sad...
No updates still😡😡😡😡😡😡...
Y u stopped in middle.. Pls my fav story... Pls do post...

Y no updates??? 😡😡...
No updates???...
Hello author, are u experiencing writer’s block and don’t know what to write and so u are dragging the story? Please we are loosing interest. It is more like a diary update. Why should always the evil win? It’s really sad to see Celeste being continuously provoked without her doing anything. Please add some new plot saying the accident and rescue are actually Wynn’s plans. Please make Trevor n Jordyn realise the worth of celeste even if they are not together. Please make Trevor apologise to Celeste for his neglect. Or if Trevor is plotting a revenge against Lockets n Spencers for their betrayal then atleast show that. Please do something before everyone loose interest n stop reading....
What a small chapters 😑😑😑...
...why is it still the same old loop? C'mon add something new please. I'd really hate to drop this book after following for so long...
