The Lockets and Shaws kept an eye on Celeste the whole time.
Although Jorge and Xavier weren't watching closely, they still occasionally glanced over.
Everyone had assumed that he had bought that set of jewelry for Celeste.
Xavier couldn't help but say to Jorge, "Ms. Rodriguez has an unclear relationship with Mr. Fleming, yet Matthias is still so devoted to her, spending so much for her. He must really love her. But honestly, the more I look at her, the prettier she gets. If it were me—"
Jorge frowned. He knew Xavier wasn't wrong. But he didn't want to talk about Celeste, so he said nothing in return.
Not long ago, the Lockets and Shaws had been worried about money. Now that they're more stable, they had been feeling quite pleased with themselves.
But their expressions turned unpleasant when Matthias casually spent over ten million dollars on jewelry for Celeste.
Linda was practically consumed by jealousy. "Did he just give something worth over ten million away just like that? Is Matthias an idiot or what?"

Matthias and Celeste, however, had no interest in what others thought.
Celeste had come along merely to offer advice. But as the auction neared its finale, she became interested in the highlight of the event—a master-level traditional painting.
But after Celeste raised her paddle a couple more times, they began to notice that her bidding number was different from Matthias's.
After all, it was Matthias who had raised the paddle when the jewelry had been auctioned earlier.
Even Jorge looked surprised.

I think there wont be a closure anytime soon, with the speed with which the story is flowing. New characters are being introduced, sides and opinions are being formed blindly - yet no one is ever discussing anything with each other. This is by far the most frustrating novel i have read and yet, come back for an update in a hope that there may be something in reader's favor now. Sigh! There is nothing. If author doesn't want to take Celeste Trevor route, then let Celeste move on like Trevor has. Enough with this beating around the bush....

I can't even believe there are almost 800 chapters and absolutely no story line advances. Basically Trevor is absolute trash and deserves to be mocked and scorned because of his cheating nature, bringing his mistress around like he's single and flaunting the billions he spends on her as if he is not already married for 7 years. Celeste deserves everyone to know her story and be free of this loser....
Very slow in updating chapters😔.... Tat too only one... It vil be useful if updates have 5 chap a day or atleast 3 per day...

Why am i reading this novel still? In what hope, seriously? To have Trevor regret his choices? To get some clarity or closure on so many gaps this novel offers? To have Shaws & Lockets ever face repercussions? To get clarity on Celeste's mother life? Because seriously, 720+ chapters gone by and from last 350 chapter - there has been no significant progress, the story has been playing around in loops. This is just sad...
