"Not at all. I still have a long way to go compared to you, Ms. Larkspur," Celeste said calmly.
The Lackspur family had invested heavily in this project, yet Narcissa didn't hesitate to offend one of their potential partners. If anyone was being reckless, it definitely wasn't Celeste.
Narcissa seemed to read her thoughts. She smiled and said, "Ms. Rodriguez, you're quite confident. You're right that YodaVision is indeed a good choice within the country. However, we're not limited to just your company."
With that, she stood up. "Since YodaVision isn't capable of taking on our project, I won't take up more of your time. Ms. Rodriguez, until next time."
Celeste had no interest in continuing this pointless exchange. "Take care."
That afternoon, Matthias asked about the potential collaboration with the Lackspur Corporation after he returned. So, Celeste briefly recounted what had happened.
"Narcissa has a problem with you? So, she just came to stir up trouble?"
"That's how it felt."
The Yoder family and the Lackspur family hadn't had much interaction in the past. So, Matthias didn't know them well. But he understood the general standing of both families.
He also knew Celeste's social circle well, so he knew there had been no prior connection between her and Narcissa.
He recalled hearing that Narcissa had spent most of these years studying in Andostan. So, given her attitude today, he thought of something and paused before saying, "Could she be close to Wynn? And came here specifically to make things difficult for you on her behalf? Or is it because of Trevor?"
"I think it's the former."
Matthias let out a short laugh. "That's ridiculous. This Narcissa is really not thinking straight if she came to offend a potential partner for some so-called sisterhood.
"Honestly, if the Lackspur family is letting someone this emotional to handle such a huge project, it'd probably be nothing but trouble if we really did collaborate. It's probably best if we don't take it."
Celeste hummed in agreement.

The topic then naturally turned to the major project the Lackspur family was currently working on.
"I've heard they came back well-prepared," the partner said.
"They already secured collaboration with a team in Andostan, and that team just arrived yesterday. Apparently, it's the well-known Team p.MAI."

The Lackspur family had clearly put in everything they had into this project.
But since Team p.MAI had already arrived yesterday, it meant that the collaboration had long been finalized. So, there was no real need for YodaVision anymore.
This meant that Narcissa's visit to YodaVision the day before, under the pretense of discussing a collaboration, had been nothing more than a deliberate provocation.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Applause for Matthias but I’d love to see Celeste stand up for herself too and all this is going on with Jo right there, if she really doesn’t care what people think about her she should take Jo out of there. They can all continue their shenanigans...
Author, please increase chapter length at least. It took me just a minute to read two chapters 😭. Also, W Matthias 🥹...
Matthias grabbing his chance and running his mouth as long as no one stops him. King 👑...
Matthias, you dropped this 👑...
Matthias, man, I love you 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣...
Wait do even Trevor’s friends didn’t know her relationship with Wynn? Did Trevor know?...
The uncovering of truth feels like a kid is peeling an onion layer by layer at extremely slow speed.. Truly exhausting...
Now how will Wynn and Lockett justify this? We've uncovered everything; we must finish this now, immediately....
I feel like the only thing to calm the issue is Zachary showing up and explaining she has been his student for the past 7 years. But doubt that will happen...
This is exhausting! Even with the truth spilled why are we so focused on the nonessential characters assumptions and opinions. This is spending not enough time on the MC. The ping pong of revelations and denial with corrections. Same exhausting pattern 😭😡...
