Teagan suddenly turned to Trevor as if remembering something. "By the way, the mandatory waiting period should be ending soon, right?"
"Mm, almost."
Martha's smile instantly disappeared at the mention of that. She gave a cold snort and ignored Trevor entirely.
Jordyn wanted to go back and stay at the Rodriguez residence again. This time, Trevor personally drove her there.
After dropping her off, he and Celeste only exchanged a brief glance and a polite nod, nothing more.
Trevor left once Jordyn happily ran inside.
Celeste went upstairs with Jordyn. Her phone buzzed just as they reached the upper floor.
It was a message from Trevor. "Regarding the agreement, do you have anything else to revise?"
Of course, she hadn't forgotten that their mandatory waiting period was about to end.
After reading the message, she replied without hesitation. "No."
His reply came quickly. "Okay."

On Monday, Celeste returned to YodaVision and threw herself back into work.
She was supposed to go on a business trip over the next couple of days, and it might keep her away for up to a week.
But her mandatory waiting period with Trevor would officially end in three days. She wanted to get the divorce certificate as soon as possible.
So, she asked Matthias to go in her place, which he agreed to without a second thought. "Sure, leave it to me."
Kieran had been keeping track of the time as well. So when he heard that Celeste had specifically arranged for Matthias to take over the business trip, he let out a quiet breath of relief.
However, he still couldn't help but ask, "So, in a few days, you'll be officially divorced?"
But then Patricia added coldly, "Let's just hope Celeste doesn't stir up any trouble."
In her view, even though Matthias was a good man, Celeste wouldn't let go of Trevor easily just to spite them.
Wynn's smile dimmed slightly at the mention of Celeste. "I heard she's also canceled her business trip."
"Really?"
Linda lit up before snorting and said, "At least she knows what's good for her."
Lilian and Lennox, however, weren't surprised.
Lennox nodded. "Exactly."

I think there wont be a closure anytime soon, with the speed with which the story is flowing. New characters are being introduced, sides and opinions are being formed blindly - yet no one is ever discussing anything with each other. This is by far the most frustrating novel i have read and yet, come back for an update in a hope that there may be something in reader's favor now. Sigh! There is nothing. If author doesn't want to take Celeste Trevor route, then let Celeste move on like Trevor has. Enough with this beating around the bush....

I can't even believe there are almost 800 chapters and absolutely no story line advances. Basically Trevor is absolute trash and deserves to be mocked and scorned because of his cheating nature, bringing his mistress around like he's single and flaunting the billions he spends on her as if he is not already married for 7 years. Celeste deserves everyone to know her story and be free of this loser....
Very slow in updating chapters😔.... Tat too only one... It vil be useful if updates have 5 chap a day or atleast 3 per day...

Why am i reading this novel still? In what hope, seriously? To have Trevor regret his choices? To get some clarity or closure on so many gaps this novel offers? To have Shaws & Lockets ever face repercussions? To get clarity on Celeste's mother life? Because seriously, 720+ chapters gone by and from last 350 chapter - there has been no significant progress, the story has been playing around in loops. This is just sad...
