Trevor looked at Wynn.
It seemed he had noticed that she was in a bad mood, so he declined the invitation. "I have another arrangement. Maybe next time."
Wynn could tell that Trevor was taking her feelings into account, so her mood immediately improved. A faint smile slowly appeared on her face.
Jorge and Quentin also noticed that Wynn actually didn't want to have lunch with Celeste and the others. So, they felt relieved after seeing how considerate Trevor was toward her feelings.
The organizers did not insist since Trevor had said he was not going.
As for Celeste and Matthias, it didn't matter to them whether Trevor and Wynn were going to lunch with them or not.
Of course, they would be happier if Trevor and Wynn chose to skip—after all, the couple was indeed quite an eyesore to them.
There was still no interaction between Celeste, Trevor, and Wynn for the rest of the day, even though they were all at the venue.
In the evening, after Celeste and Matthias were done with their work and returned to the hotel, they unexpectedly ran into Nathan on their floor.
Nathan was also slightly surprised after seeing them. He greeted them with a smile, "Mr. Yoder, Ms. Rodriguez, what a coincidence."
Celeste and Matthias nodded silently.
It really was a coincidence.
However, most guests attending the technology conference were staying at nearby hotels. So, running into each other was normal.
Nathan was about to say something more when Matthias spoke first, "We're going back to rest now. Mr. Lackspur, please excuse us."
After saying that, without waiting for Nathan's response, he turned slightly and said to Celeste, "Rest well. See you tomorrow."
Celeste hummed a response.
After that, they each entered their rooms across from each other.
Nathan was slightly surprised.
"I did."
Nathan paused and then said, "However, they are not staying in the same room."
Hearing this, Narcissa was also stunned and slightly surprised.
But she quickly figured it out.
"She and Trevor haven't divorced yet. Even though she and Matthias are on good terms now, others can only see appearances.
"Since everyone is staying in nearby hotels, they're probably worried that if Trevor and Wynn find out, they might use it against them.
"She's just being cautious and guarding against Trevor and Wynn. She really is quite careful."

I think there wont be a closure anytime soon, with the speed with which the story is flowing. New characters are being introduced, sides and opinions are being formed blindly - yet no one is ever discussing anything with each other. This is by far the most frustrating novel i have read and yet, come back for an update in a hope that there may be something in reader's favor now. Sigh! There is nothing. If author doesn't want to take Celeste Trevor route, then let Celeste move on like Trevor has. Enough with this beating around the bush....

I can't even believe there are almost 800 chapters and absolutely no story line advances. Basically Trevor is absolute trash and deserves to be mocked and scorned because of his cheating nature, bringing his mistress around like he's single and flaunting the billions he spends on her as if he is not already married for 7 years. Celeste deserves everyone to know her story and be free of this loser....
Very slow in updating chapters😔.... Tat too only one... It vil be useful if updates have 5 chap a day or atleast 3 per day...

Why am i reading this novel still? In what hope, seriously? To have Trevor regret his choices? To get some clarity or closure on so many gaps this novel offers? To have Shaws & Lockets ever face repercussions? To get clarity on Celeste's mother life? Because seriously, 720+ chapters gone by and from last 350 chapter - there has been no significant progress, the story has been playing around in loops. This is just sad...
