20 minutes later, Trevor came back with Jordyn.
Martha’s gaze went past Trevor and fixated on Jordyn. Grinning, she waved at Jordyn. “You’re back, Jo!”
“Hi, Nana.” Jordyn ran toward Martha. After Martha had hugged and ruffled her hair, Jordyn finally walked over to Celeste. “Hi, Mom”
Celeste hummed a reply. When she was hugging Jordyn, she noticed the faint scent of Wynn’s perfume on Jordyn’s clothes.
She didn’t mention anything about it. Instead, she only lightly pushed Jordyn away.
Trevor sat beside Martha and placed a box before her. “This is a token of apology.”
It was a pack of Coffea Arábica that Martha liked a lot. Besides, it was rare on the market, and hard to get even for a high price.
Martha knew that Trevor was apologizing for not showing up at the hot spring retreat previously.
She let out a huff. “You’ve got me covered, but what about Cel? Did you get her anything as an apology?”
Trevor remained silent while glancing at Celeste.
It was just a quick look. It held no deeper emotions.
Martha meant to speak up for her, letting Trevor care about her more.
To Celeste, however, there was no need for that anymore.
She didn’t look at Trevor. “Grandma, the food’s getting cold Let’s dig in,” she said with a smile.
Martha thought Celeste changed the topic to defend Trevor
After all, when Martha reprimanded Trevor for neglecting Celeste back then, Celeste would always find a way to
justify Trevor’s actions.
Martha let out a sigh. “You’re always on his side.”
With a smile on her face, Celeste remained silent.
Trevor’s face was just as aloof. His expression didn’t budge despite Celeste speaking for him.
But the time was getting on, and they should really start eating.
Marth stood up and held Jordyn’s hand in hers. “It’s been a while since you dined with me, Jo. Do you want to sit beside me later?”
Jordyn nodded obediently. “Okay.”
“What a good girl.” Martha gave Trevor a glance as she spoke, signaling to him.
Celeste knew that Martha was trying to set her up with Trevor again.
She didn’t bother to see Trevor’s reaction. She only followed Martha to the dining room.
As she sat down across from Martha and Jordyn, she caught glimpse of Trevor pulling out the chair beside her and sitting down
Finally, Martha grinned in satisfaction. When all the dishes were served, she spoke to Trevor. “Pass Cel the dishes.

Celeste didn’t look at Trevor. “It’s okay, Grandma. I can…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Trevor placed the mashed potato that she liked before her.
Celeste paused for a moment. “Thank you.”
Trevor was silent.
Usually, when Martha asked Trevor to pass the dishes to Celeste, she meant for Trevor to take care of Celeste’s needs when they were eating
Thus, when Celeste reached out for a dish, Trevor would immediately pass her the dish she wanted. He remembered what she liked or disliked as well.
But that didn’t mean much to Celeste.
After all, this had happened several times over the years, Given Trevor’s memory, he would remember them even without effort.
After they finished their meal, Trevor chatted with Martha.
Celeste, too, was listening to their conversation on the side. She never initiated a conversation with Trevor, and she rarely made eye contact with him.

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
