No one was particularly interested in Wynn's situation. So, the conversation quickly returned to AI-related matters.
Around noon, Narcissa walked over to Beck after he was done talking with a few people.
"Want to grab lunch together?"
Beck replied politely, "Sorry, I've made arrangements with someone to discuss some business."
Narcissa wasn't embarrassed by the rejection. "Alright, next time then."
In actuality, Beck didn't have any business discussions. He had lunch with Celeste and her team, and there were a lot of people joining them.
Celeste, Matthias, and the others boarded a flight back to Baumond that same evening after the technology conference concluded.
Beck, Narcissa, and Jorge were also returning that night. So, they ended up on the same flight.
As a result, they ran into each other on the plane.
Beck hadn't had many opportunities to speak with Celeste over the past two days. So, seeing her now genuinely pleased him.
"What a coincidence," he said with a smile.
Celeste nodded.
Kieran, however, wasn't pleased at all. "Please make way."
Just as Beck was about to say something, Jorge and Nathan arrived as well.
"Looks like everyone's here," Nathan remarked.
Not wanting to block the aisle, Beck merely nodded to Celeste and Matthias before going to his seat.
During the conference, Jorge had barely interacted with Celeste and Matthias. However, he still greeted Matthias now that they were face-to-face.
"Mr. Yoder."
As for Celeste, he acted as though she didn't exist.
Matthias curled his lips and responded with a silent nod.
Nathan's seat happened to be next to Beck's. So, Narcissa asked her brother to switch seats with her after finding out.
Then, he replied in a calm voice, "That's my private matter. I believe I'm not obligated to explain it to you, Ms. Lackspur."
"Ms. Lackspur, I'm not in the mood to chat and would like to rest."
Narcissa paused briefly before smiling. "Alright then. I won't disturb you. Have a good rest."
Meanwhile, Celeste and Matthias had been busy for two straight days.
It was already late, and both of them were exhausted. So, they reclined their seats and went to sleep not long after boarding.
The plane landed safely three hours later.
While Celeste and Matthias were talking, they noticed Quentin and his companions walking toward Jorge.
It was only then that they learned that Quentin was now working for Jorge.

I think there wont be a closure anytime soon, with the speed with which the story is flowing. New characters are being introduced, sides and opinions are being formed blindly - yet no one is ever discussing anything with each other. This is by far the most frustrating novel i have read and yet, come back for an update in a hope that there may be something in reader's favor now. Sigh! There is nothing. If author doesn't want to take Celeste Trevor route, then let Celeste move on like Trevor has. Enough with this beating around the bush....

I can't even believe there are almost 800 chapters and absolutely no story line advances. Basically Trevor is absolute trash and deserves to be mocked and scorned because of his cheating nature, bringing his mistress around like he's single and flaunting the billions he spends on her as if he is not already married for 7 years. Celeste deserves everyone to know her story and be free of this loser....

Why am i reading this novel still? In what hope, seriously? To have Trevor regret his choices? To get some clarity or closure on so many gaps this novel offers? To have Shaws & Lockets ever face repercussions? To get clarity on Celeste's mother life? Because seriously, 720+ chapters gone by and from last 350 chapter - there has been no significant progress, the story has been playing around in loops. This is just sad...
