Chapter 78
Betty was turning 70 next month.
Celeste was discussing with Ivan how they should celebrate Betty’s birthday.
Betty had no interest in their plan. “No need for anything extravagant. Having a meal together as a family is enough.”
Adeline added, “It’s my 70th birthday. We should celebrate it in a big way.”
Celeste and Ivan thought the same too.
Since it came from the grandchildren’s kindness, Betty gave in to their suggestion.
Jordyn still had to go to school tomorrow. Thus, after having dinner together, Celeste left the Rodriguez residence with Jordyn.
After she arrived at the Fleming Manor, Jordyn got out of the car and ran into the house, beaming with joy.
Celeste stayed in the car as she said to Jordyn, “Take a bath and rest early. I’ve got things to do, so I’ll get going
now.”
Jordyn’s smile froze. “Huh?”
She returned to the car and rested her face on it. Furrowing her brows, Jordyn asked, “Are you busy, Mom?”
Celeste answered without changing her expression. “Yep. Do well in class, and give me a call if something comes

Jordyn was a little upset. She pursed her lips and replied, “Okay.”
When work piled up, Trevor was often absent from home.
Hence, Jordyn assumed Celeste’s absence was work–related and didn’t dwell on it further.
When Peter noticed they came back, he went out to greet them.
Jordyn asked, “Is Dad back yet?”
Peter answered with a smile, “Yes, he’s back already.”
Celeste’s face remained neutral. “Jordyn, I’m leaving now.”
“Alright…” Jordyn moved away.
Peter was slightly confused. “Are you still going out this late at night, Mrs. Fleming
Celeste kept her reply short. “Yes, I have some things to take care of.”
As she finished speaking, she turned to Jordyn. “It’s chilly out here. Go inside.”
“Okay” Jordyn waved at Celeste and entered the house together with Peter.
After seeing Jordyn off, Celeste turned the car around and drove away.
Jordyn asked Peter after entering the house, “Where’s Dad
“He should be in the study.”
Jordyn then went upstairs, only to realize the door to the study was open. Trevor was leaning against the window.

He was smoking as he looked outside the witlow.
“Dad,” Jordyn called out for him.
“Hi, lo.” Trevor turned around to face her.
Jordyn continued, “Mom has something to take care of. She just left.”

Jordyn scrunched up her little nose. “Mom has been so busy recently just like you.”
Trevor let out a chuckle. “You’re right.”
It was getting late, and Jordyn was tired as well. Yawning, she uttered, “I’m going to take a bath and sleep. Good night, Dad.”
“Good night, have sweet dreams.”
After Celeste arrived home, she washed up and went to bed immediately.
She arrived at the office promptly the next day.
In the afternoon, she and Yandel went to InnovaTech for some technical maintenance, along with some other technicians.
This time, she didn’t see Trevor or Wynn there.
On the following days, including Thursday when she went back to the villa to cook for Jordyn, she never saw Trevor around
She heard how Trevor wasn’t on a business trip. He just had some errands to run, so he wouldn’t be home for dinner.
Celeste didn’t bother asking about his “errands“-whether it was a date with Wynn or some other obligations. When she got off work on Friday, thinking about what to have for dinner, she received a call from Jordyn. “Mom, Dad won’t be home on the weekend. When are you coming back home?”

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
