Standing on the stage, Quentin took in everyone's reactions—Lilian, Celeste, Matthias, Wynn, Trevor. He saw every single one of their expressions.
The first people he looked at were naturally Matthias and Celeste. Seeing the momentary shock on their faces when they saw the photos, he smiled.
But soon, his attention shifted to Wynn.
When he saw her face turn pale the moment she looked at the screen, followed by the dazed, devastated, and disbelieving expression on her face, his heart ached. But at the same time, the anger in his heart burned even stronger.
He gritted his teeth and didn't even bother looking at Trevor's reaction. Instead, he turned his attention back to Matthias and Celeste.
With a cold smile, he said to Matthias, "Mr. Yoder, the person you were willing to sacrifice everything to protect seems to have quite a complicated private life. What do you have to say?"
The clothes Celeste and Trevor wore in the photos were all different. Quentin had even thoughtfully marked the dates and times when the photos were taken.
The implication was obvious.
He wanted everyone to know that Celeste and Trevor had been secretly involved for quite some time. And the most recent photo was taken just last week. In other words, they had likely maintained this ambiguous relationship behind everyone's backs all along.
Everyone present turned their attention toward Celeste and Matthias. To be honest, they were excited. They had never expected to witness such a shocking revelation.
Before Celeste and Matthias could respond, the crowd erupted into another wave of discussion.
"Those photos really don't look fake..."
"That's right..."
The entire banquet hall was filled with whispers.
At that moment, Matthias finally spoke, "I never said that."
He looked at Quentin and smiled.
Quentin froze for a moment when he saw Matthias's smile.

Somehow i am relieved today to see no updates than to be disappointed with yet another irritating show of everyone else's POV but the main characters...
I know everyone will not agree with me and I also know that Trevor is a trash and all but I want Trevor and Celeste to get back together. They should be the end game and for that to happen Trevor should start working hard for that second chance....
So we're going to go on for another 15 chapter's about jordan's temper tantrum with neither of the parents asking her what's wrong..stop milking it. The only reason i'm still reading is because i cant leave a book unfinished. What I'm pissed about is the book started with promise and turned into a circus....
The story should just come to an end and the writer should give their reader the closure they deserve. There's no point in keeping the story going. It's been the same since the start. Not has changed. The initial story plot was, that Celeste and Trevor are getting devorce and still after 800 + chapter, they are still heading for a devorce....
Don’t Shaws and Lockets reflect ever on themselves? Every difficult situation, they look forward to Wynn to ask for Trevor to help. Initially the focus of the novel was on how Wynn is so accomplished blah blah and now - she is just a useless person, incapable of anything. Irritating storyline...
