Narcissa's voice rang through the hall. "And she's been doing everything she can to bully and suppress the woman he actually loves. Now she's acting all smug like she's the rightful wife. If we're talking about shamelessness, who could possibly beat her?"

"So, Celeste actually married her way in like that? If that's true... then even if Ms. Locket technically became the other woman... it's kind of understandable?"
"Exactly! Mr. Fleming never loved Celeste in the first place. She forced him into marriage through underhanded means. He finally fell in love and wanted a proper divorce so they could be together, but Celeste refused to let go. In that situation, what else were Mr. Fleming and Ms. Locket supposed to do?"
"Right? I bet Mr. Fleming treats Ms. Locket so well because he feels guilty that she's had to carry the 'homewrecker' label all this time, so he's trying to make it up to her."
"No wonder whenever Mr. Fleming and Celeste show up at the same events—even though Fleming Group and YodaVision have been working together for years—he acts like she doesn't even exist. So that's why."

The moment Narcissa began revealing Celeste's so-called "rise to the top," Xavier's jaw practically hit the floor. Afraid of missing even a single detail, he grabbed onto Jorge's arm and forced himself to stay silent.
It was only after Narcissa seemed to finish did he finally explode.
"Holy crap! What is this insane gossip! I swear I'm dreaming! I've never witnessed so many bombshells packed into one night in my entire life! Thank God I came tonight. If I'd missed this, I would've missed out on the gossip of the century!"
Jorge simply hummed in agreement before breaking into a relieved smile.
Xavier laughed when he saw it and gave him a light punch in the chest. "You switched moods fast."
He had seen firsthand how devastated Jorge had been only moments ago when he believed Wynn had knowingly become the other woman. The shock, the disbelief, the ugly expression on his face—it had all been obvious.
Then he paused and glanced toward Caleb.
Jorge followed his gaze.
But now they looked over and found him standing there, staring blankly in Celeste's direction.
Xavier and Jorge exchanged a glance.
Then Xavier cautiously spoke. "Caleb, are you okay?"

Somehow i am relieved today to see no updates than to be disappointed with yet another irritating show of everyone else's POV but the main characters...
I know everyone will not agree with me and I also know that Trevor is a trash and all but I want Trevor and Celeste to get back together. They should be the end game and for that to happen Trevor should start working hard for that second chance....
So we're going to go on for another 15 chapter's about jordan's temper tantrum with neither of the parents asking her what's wrong..stop milking it. The only reason i'm still reading is because i cant leave a book unfinished. What I'm pissed about is the book started with promise and turned into a circus....
The story should just come to an end and the writer should give their reader the closure they deserve. There's no point in keeping the story going. It's been the same since the start. Not has changed. The initial story plot was, that Celeste and Trevor are getting devorce and still after 800 + chapter, they are still heading for a devorce....
Don’t Shaws and Lockets reflect ever on themselves? Every difficult situation, they look forward to Wynn to ask for Trevor to help. Initially the focus of the novel was on how Wynn is so accomplished blah blah and now - she is just a useless person, incapable of anything. Irritating storyline...
I'm starting to get bored and I can't predict exactly where the story is headed....
