Trevor didn't look at either Matthias or Celeste. He just handed his wine glass to a nearby waiter before going after Jordyn.
Seeing that Jordyn seemed upset, Celeste had initially wanted to follow her. But when she saw Trevor following after her, she paused and ultimately decided not to.
Matthias was also somewhat worried about Jordyn. He finally relaxed and turned to Philip after seeing Trevor following after her.
"Professor Lancaster, we'll be going now."
Philip nodded. "Alright. Let's get together again when you have time."
Celeste came back to herself, nodded, and left with Matthias.
Everyone at the banquet had assumed that Celeste and Trevor might continue tearing into each other. No one had expected them to simply leave without exchanging a single word.
Not just other guests, even Caleb, Kieran, Beck, and Miles were surprised.
After recovering from his shock, Kieran put down his wine glass and hurried after Celeste and Matthias. "Are you heading back to the company? I'll come with you."
Matthias and Celeste both nodded.
Kieran followed them. Thinking back on everything that had happened that evening, he ultimately said nothing more. After getting into Matthias's car, he simply started talking with them about work.
Although Celeste and Trevor had left, the guests were still reluctant to leave after witnessing one bombshell after another that night.
Besides, the Lockets and Shaws were still there.
So, many guests turned their attention toward Wynn, Lilian, and the rest of the family.
Wynn naturally felt all those eyes on her. She forced a faint smile, still managing to maintain some semblance of composure while saying to Philip, "Professor Lancaster, we'll be leaving now."
Philip didn't say anything. He just looked at her.
Although she was doing her best to maintain appearances, he could easily see through the embarrassment and forced composure beneath her facade.

Here we go again…drip-drop. One page a day instead of the promised 5 Chapters and even that stops suddenly so we never know if the story will advance. I swear this author is writing the new page on their lunch break and laughing at us when we get frustrated....
I feel like reading the novel from everyone else's perspective, but the main characters. There has never been a glimpse on Trevor's side of thoughts or intentions. He feels like a ghost in this whole storyline. Although i am glad that Mathias revealed the truth about Celeste, but it still feels empty without main character's thoughts or feelings or voices being shared....
Wynn's reputation is over. I read all these chapters for this moment... I'm really glad that Matthias finally said everything at once. All thanks to the fool Quinton...
So we're going to keep going in circles atp,nothing was revealed that we didn't already know,I mean I would've at least liked to see Trevor's reaction to finding out his wife is the co-owner and coder to CUAP,find out who drugged them.Whats happening with the military blacksite,how come Celeste is so quiet she never stands up for herself. All we're getting is reaction's from side character's who don't matter...
