Linda and Erin were also stunned. "What court summons?"
Wynn snapped out of her daze and walked over.
The summons stated that Velotra was suing them for "misappropriation of trade secrets".
Wynn frowned. As far as she knew, Locket Tech had never had any dealings with Velotra. Why would they suddenly sue them?
But that wasn't the most important thing right now. What mattered was—
Lilian pointed to the amount being claimed on the copy of the complaint and said coldly, "Look here."
Wynn leaned over. Before she could say anything, Linda spotted the figure first and immediately paled. "500 million! They're demanding 500 million from us?"
Wynn saw the figure as well, but then noticed something else. "They're also seeking punitive damages that are five times the amount."
In other words, Velotra was demanding 2.5 billion dollars from them.
Wynn finally understood why her parents' expressions had changed so drastically.
When Erin and Patricia heard this, their faces changed as well.
Linda panicked. "Why? They can't just sue us whenever they want! Our company doesn't even have any dealings with them, does it?"
Technically, that was true. But if Velotra didn't have evidence, how could they possibly file a lawsuit out of nowhere?
For a moment, the entire Locket family descended into chaos.
Harvey looked at Wynn. "Wynn, why don't you ask Trevor?"
"...Okay."
Even if Harvey hadn't suggested it, Trevor was already the first person who had come to her mind. His sources of information should be far better than theirs.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
I'm so excited for tomorrow! I wonder what happened to Jo... What is the story behind that court summons?...
A court summons? Oh my God, what happened?...
Here we go again…drip-drop. One page a day instead of the promised 5 Chapters and even that stops suddenly so we never know if the story will advance. I swear this author is writing the new page on their lunch break and laughing at us when we get frustrated....
I feel like reading the novel from everyone else's perspective, but the main characters. There has never been a glimpse on Trevor's side of thoughts or intentions. He feels like a ghost in this whole storyline. Although i am glad that Mathias revealed the truth about Celeste, but it still feels empty without main character's thoughts or feelings or voices being shared....
Wynn's reputation is over. I read all these chapters for this moment... I'm really glad that Matthias finally said everything at once. All thanks to the fool Quinton...
So we're going to keep going in circles atp, nothing was revealed that we didn't already know,I mean I would've at least liked to see Trevor's reaction to finding out his wife is the co-owner and coder to CUAP,find out who drugged them.Whats happening with the military blacksite, how come Celeste is so quiet she never stands up for herself. All we're getting is reaction's from side character's who don't matter...
Yes.. I'm looking forward to the upcoming chapters......
I don't really understand the writer. Why are Trevor and Celeste silent now? Isn't it about them?...
Who the helly is georgette 😆...
Alas..the truth that has been buried since…is prevailing....
