The next morning, after Jordyn woke up, she remembered what had happened the night before and reached for the phone beside her.
A moment later, she put it down, pursed her little lips, and curled up under the covers again.
Hannah pushed the door open. Seeing that she was awake, she asked, "Do you want to get washed up first and then come downstairs for breakfast?"
Jordyn stared at the ceiling without saying a word.
Seeing this, Hannah seemed to know what she was thinking and said, "Mrs. Fleming sent me a message this morning asking how you're doing."
Jordyn immediately sat up in bed. "What did Mom say?"
Hannah smiled. "She asked if you were feeling better and whether you slept well."
As she spoke, she handed Jordyn the phone.
Jordyn took it.
Celeste's message contained only two short lines. She really had asked whether Jordyn was feeling better and if she had slept well.
It was very brief.
Jordyn stared at the message for a long time without saying anything.
"Jo?" Hannah had thought Jordyn would be happy after seeing the message, but she didn't look happy at all.
Jordyn handed the phone back to her. "Why didn't she message me herself?"
"You were asleep at the time. Mrs. Fleming didn't want to disturb you, but she was worried about you..."
Jordyn said nothing. She threw off the covers, got out of bed, and slipped on her shoes. "What about him?"
Hannah paused before realizing that the "him" she was referring to was Trevor. "I heard from Peter that Mr. Fleming left on a business trip before dawn this morning."
Afraid Jordyn would be upset, Hannah quickly added, "But before he left, he specifically left you a note."
As she spoke, she pointed toward the desk where a sticky note was clearly attached to it.
Jordyn looked up, and the familiar handwriting immediately caught her eye.
"Daddy has to leave on an urgent business trip. There's a rafting place over there that you've always wanted to try. How about I have Hannah take you there later?"
After reading it, Jordyn pressed her lips together even tighter.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Uhuh. And what, pray tell, is it that you know to be doing Trevor?...
Mr. Lincoln, you never raised your son. He is not a real man... When I see him, I just remember the line from the song that says "I guess no one ever told you how to be a real man."...
Did Trevor shut down the internet? If he does it, he's truly the biggest whore I've ever seen in my life... This guy raised my blood pressure throughout 800 chapters...
ok im done im not reading this trash anymore its repetitive celeste finally speaks and its less than 5 words.this isn't good at all and now we're getting the netizens pov but not hers. EVERYBODY HAS AN OPINION EXCEPT HER AND TREVOR...
I’m not liking where this is headed.. I’m getting the sense that the author is following the revenging husband storyline and Trevor did all this just to avenge his wife...
Isn't this a company that Celeste and Matthias work for? This will be a fatal blow to those scoundrels....
I'm so excited for tomorrow! I wonder what happened to Jo... What is the story behind that court summons?...
A court summons? Oh my God, what happened?...
Here we go again…drip-drop. One page a day instead of the promised 5 Chapters and even that stops suddenly so we never know if the story will advance. I swear this author is writing the new page on their lunch break and laughing at us when we get frustrated....
I feel like reading the novel from everyone else's perspective, but the main characters. There has never been a glimpse on Trevor's side of thoughts or intentions. He feels like a ghost in this whole storyline. Although i am glad that Mathias revealed the truth about Celeste, but it still feels empty without main character's thoughts or feelings or voices being shared....
