The message Miles had sent Trevor on the day Locket Tech ran into trouble wasn't answered until the following afternoon.
Even then, Trevor's reply had been extremely brief. "I'm fine. I can handle it myself."
Beck asked, "Should I message him and ask?"
"Sure."
Beck took out his phone and sent Trevor a message. "Things are mostly sorted out now, right? When do you think you'll be back?"
Miles's gaze drifted back toward Celeste.
Tonight, just like before, Celeste was still at the center of attention.
After sending the message, Beck also looked over at her.
He had been genuinely shocked by what happened at Philip's banquet. Afterward, he'd actually considered messaging her to ask how she was doing.
But he knew he had no right to concern himself with her feelings, so in the end, he hadn't sent anything.
Now, seeing her handling conversations about work with ease, seemingly unaffected by what had happened, he finally felt reassured.
Miles noticed that Beck was also looking at Celeste. Without thinking too much about it, he couldn't help saying, "I still can't believe she's one of YodaVision's founders, and that she became Zachary's student long ago. Every time I think about it, it still feels like a dream."
"Yeah." Beck had found it just as unbelievable at first. So, he understood exactly how Miles felt.
Suddenly, Miles remembered something he'd forgotten to ask. "By the way, do you think Trevor knew about Celeste and YodaVision? And that she was Zachary's student?"
Beck hesitated before shaking his head. "I don't know either."
He had actually wondered about this a long time ago.
If Trevor knew that Celeste was Zachary's student, then he should have known how capable she was.
After all, Wynn had originally wanted to get into YodaVision because of the company's programming language.

She glanced at the caller ID and answered.
After hearing what the person on the other end said, she replied, "Okay, I understand. I'll be there right away."
After hanging up, she exchanged a few quick words with the people around her before hurriedly turning to leave.
Beck's eyes had been on her the entire time. So, he quickly followed after her when he saw her suddenly leave.
"What happened?"
"Hannah said something happened with Jordyn. She refuses to eat and won't even leave her room."
Beck stiffened. "I'll go with you."
"You don't have to. I—"

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Somehow i am relieved today to see no updates than to be disappointed with yet another irritating show of everyone else's POV but the main characters...
I know everyone will not agree with me and I also know that Trevor is a trash and all but I want Trevor and Celeste to get back together. They should be the end game and for that to happen Trevor should start working hard for that second chance....
So we're going to go on for another 15 chapter's about jordan's temper tantrum with neither of the parents asking her what's wrong..stop milking it. The only reason i'm still reading is because i cant leave a book unfinished. What I'm pissed about is the book started with promise and turned into a circus....
The story should just come to an end and the writer should give their reader the closure they deserve. There's no point in keeping the story going. It's been the same since the start. Not has changed. The initial story plot was, that Celeste and Trevor are getting devorce and still after 800 + chapter, they are still heading for a devorce....
Don’t Shaws and Lockets reflect ever on themselves? Every difficult situation, they look forward to Wynn to ask for Trevor to help. Initially the focus of the novel was on how Wynn is so accomplished blah blah and now - she is just a useless person, incapable of anything. Irritating storyline...
I'm starting to get bored and I can't predict exactly where the story is headed....
Beck being the only actual adult to ask a child what’s wrong...
Can we get to the point its stagnant and I am unimpressed,I don't care about the company being in trouble nor the inner thoughts of others. Come on now....
Its a good thing both jordan parents are loaded. They going to spend a lot for Jordan therapy. 😂...
Wynn has no shame. And keeping the staff well beyond their work hours is an a-hole move....
