Aaron instinctively looked toward Nora.

He saw her sitting coolly in the scribe's seat, not even glancing at him. He felt both wronged and anxious.

He didn't know how much Nora had seen or heard that day, and his mind was a complete mess.

"Mr. Wells, as much as I'd love to dwell on your lack of a moral compass, we have a case to discuss."

"Every word you say from now on could be a crucial clue or piece of evidence in this case. Please think carefully before you answer. If you deliberately provide false information that leads the police on a wild goose chase and allows the killer to escape, we will have reason to suspect your involvement in the crime."

"I'm not involved!"

Hearing he might be considered an accomplice, Aaron quickly retorted, "I don't even know those people! How could I be an accomplice?"

Nathan nodded with a serious expression. "In that case, please take a close look at this photograph."

He pushed a photo of Kyle in front of Aaron and said softly, "Do you recognize him?"

Aaron studied it for a moment, then said with some confusion, "Isn't this the driver who gave me a ride that day?"

"Didn't you say you couldn't see his face? How do you have his picture?"

"Are you sure?"

Aaron had been absolutely certain.

But Nathan's question made him second-guess himself.

"Let me take a closer look."

Nathan gestured for him to go ahead.

Aaron picked up the photo and examined it carefully. Suddenly, he noticed something and said with conviction, "This man and the taxi driver must be two different people, but they're related by blood!"

"How can you be so sure?"

Aaron placed the photograph on the table.

"There was a characteristic of the taxi driver that I forgot to mention last time. I wasn't sure about it then and didn't want to cause trouble, so I chose to hide it..."
