The Captain I Married by Chance novel Chapter 186

Aaron pushed Nora into the room and shut the door behind him. His tone was probing. "Ordering takeout for you this late… Is it a colleague from the station?"

Nora glanced at him. "If it were, they would have messaged me."

But she hadn't received any messages.

"Then it must be one of your admirers."

Aaron's voice was sullen. "Nora, are a lot of men pursuing you?"

Nora let out a cold laugh. "In what capacity are you asking me this?"

"I'm your boyfriend!"

Nora stared at him coldly. "Really? The kind of boyfriend who gets it on with another woman in a parking garage?"

Confronted so bluntly by Nora, Aaron's shoulders slumped.

It was as if the life had been drained out of him.

"Nora, I admit I was wrong, but we have so many years of history…"

There it was again, the same old excuse. Nora cut him off impatiently.

"Is our seven-year relationship your get-out-of-jail-free card?"

"Did you think that after seven years, I couldn't live without you, so you could cheat without any consequences?"

"When you were telling another woman that I smelled like a corpse, did you still think you were my boyfriend?"

"Aaron, you make me sick!"

Aaron collapsed onto the floor, defeated.

"I…"

"There's no future for us. Don't make me lose all respect for you."

Aaron saw Nora's face, as cold and stunningly beautiful as the day they first met, like a goddess to be admired from afar but never touched.

A surge of anger flared up inside him.

"You look down on me?"
