The Captain I Married by Chance novel Chapter 314

Nora frowned in disgust.

She had no idea what game Leonard was playing.

But she knew he never did anything without an ulterior motive.

If he didn't see a profit in it, he wouldn't be this eager.

She had no patience to guess what Leonard was scheming.

All she knew was that she wanted absolutely nothing to do with this cheating scum and his homewrecker.

"If you called me here just to make me sick, then we have nothing to talk about."

She turned to leave.

Leonard quickly interjected, "Nora, can you really throw away years of history?"

"I can see he genuinely knows he was wrong. Can't you give him one more chance?"

Unable to hold back anymore, Nora snapped, "If you're so eager for a wedding, why don't you marry Aaron yourself?"

"What gives you the right to demand I forgive a man who betrayed me?"

"He might not find his own two-timing repulsive, but I think he's filthy."

"Please, do me a favor and stop hovering around me. You're an eyesore!"

Being so sharply reprimanded by Nora left both Leonard and Aaron unable to meet her gaze.

They knew her well.

For her to use such harsh words meant her disgust had reached an uncontrollable level.

Leonard took two steps back, looking as if he'd been struck.

He stared at her, heartbroken. "Nora, why do you have to make things so ugly between everyone?"

"I'm really doing this for your own good."

Nora pressed her lips together and stayed silent.

Aaron was about to say something when Mia, who had been completely ignored, suddenly let out a cold scoff.

If she hadn't genuinely accepted the man, she would never have allowed him to get that close.

Yet he had seen them looking intimate multiple times, and both had admitted they were getting married.

That meant she had actually agreed to it and was following through.

A wave of unprecedented jealousy surged in Aaron's chest.

Why had Nora hidden her true identity from him? Why would she rather choose a lowly cop than give him another chance?

In what way was he inferior to that cop?

"Someone else is involved?"

Leonard felt completely lost hearing this.

He thought he had investigated everything thoroughly, but he had missed such a crucial detail.

"Nora, is what they're saying true? Are you really marrying a cop?"
