Riley decided to drop it. As long as Sebastian didn't misunderstand her or come looking for a fight, the rest had nothing to do with her.
In the parking lot outside the apartment building.
Franklin Finch was sitting in the car playing a game on his phone, keeping a close eye on the entrance. Seeing Sebastian walk out, he immediately closed the app, stepped out, and opened the rear door.
Sebastian got in.
Franklin started the engine. "Mr. Landon is at the office. Should we head over now?"
Sebastian offered a faint sound of affirmation.
Was the rivalry about to begin?
Excitement and anticipation gleamed in Franklin's eyes, and he drove a bit faster than usual.
In the conference room of Landon Enterprises.
Pierce Landon sat at the head of the table, overwhelmed and furious. His voice dripped with anger. "A whole day and night, and none of you can come up with a single solution? What exactly am I paying you for?"
The PR employees seated around the table remained dead silent, too terrified to speak.
Scott Baxter walked into the room, leaned down next to Pierce, and whispered in his ear, "Mr. St. John is here."
Pierce froze slightly. "Sebastian?"
Scott nodded.
Pierce immediately stood and headed for the door. In truth, he had been waiting all day for Sebastian to make a move. Regardless of their past ties, the joint project between their families had suffered massive losses this time, so there was no way Sebastian could just sit back and do nothing.
But he had waited all day, and there had been absolute silence from Sebastian's end. Because his personal scandal had caused the company's stock to plummet, the board of directors had been constantly pressuring him. If Sebastian hadn't come looking for him tonight, he had planned to swallow his pride and ask for help tomorrow.
