The Coldest Man in the Room Melted Only for Me novel Chapter 218

Instead, he had driven over personally in the dead of night just to hand it to her.

Did it fall between the seats and he only just found it tonight?

Riley took the silicone teether. "Sorry to make you come all this way just for this, Sebastian."

Sebastian's gaze shifted to her injured arm. "How's the arm?"

Riley lifted it slightly. "Much better."

"Mhm."

Silence fell between them.

Riley felt that just standing there in the dark was a bit awkward, so she asked politely, "Would you like to come up and sit for a bit?"

"Is it convenient?"

"It is." It was literally his apartment; how could it be inconvenient?

Sebastian nodded.

Riley leaned down slightly and looked through the window at Franklin in the driver's seat. "Mr. Finch, would you like to come up for a glass of water?"

Franklin held up his phone, showing the screen. "No thanks, I'm in the middle of a game."

There was no way he was going up there to be a third wheel.

He paused for a second before adding, "Ms. Vance, the boss had a bit to drink. If you don't mind, could you make him a glass of honey water?"

Riley nodded. "Of course."

The two of them walked into the lobby and stepped into the elevator. Riley hit the button for the 15th floor. Just as the doors were about to close, a man carrying a massive mattress shoved his way in. He backed in sideways, unable to see who was inside.

"Excuse me, coming through," the man grunted as he squeezed in.

Riley's back was already pressed against the wall, but the mattress kept backing up, crushing toward her. She had nowhere to go. Suddenly, an arm wrapped tightly around her waist, and she was yanked sideways. Before she could even process what happened, she was trapped securely in Sebastian's arms.
