“Look into it again. Check if Zachary Chambers went to Riverport before Riley and I divorced, or see if he contacted anyone in Riverport during that time. Also, look at his movements during her kidnapping. Was he there, or did he contact anyone in Riverport?”

Scott looked highly conflicted. “Mr. Landon, he is the second young master of the Chambers family. His phone records are strictly confidential. Given our level of influence in Statenbury, I'm afraid we won't be able to dig that deep.”

“Do your best.”

“Understood.”

“The sooner, the better.”

“I'll get right on it.” Scott turned and left the suite.

At 6 PM, Pierce left the hotel and drove toward The Grand Regency.

Riley was in the middle of dinner. When the doorbell rang, Mrs. Gable, who was feeding Alora her bottle, paused. Riley got up to answer the door. Seeing Pierce standing there holding a basket of fruit, she furrowed her brow.

Pierce offered a faint smile. “I came to see Alora.”

Seeing Pierce now only reminded Riley of the horrible things Seraphina had done to her. If it weren't for him, would she have suffered like that?

She was still having nightmares about it.

But he was here to see Alora, so she couldn't exactly slam the door in his face. It was incredibly frustrating.
