The Contract Said No Strings Attached (Charlotte) novel Chapter 573

Dylan said, "I want you back here as soon as possible to finish what you started. I don't like employees who quit halfway through!"

Rebecca let out a small laugh.

"But Dylan, I'm not your employee!"

Dylan retorted, "Have you forgotten? You signed a contract with the company."

Rebecca's brow furrowed. "But the contract doesn't say an employee can't resign."

Dylan took a deep breath. After a moment, his low voice came through the receiver. "What is it, Rebecca? Is there something you're worried about? Or are you scared?"

Rebecca was confused. "Scared of what?"

Dylan said slowly, "Do you remember the contract we signed? Our marriage automatically terminates after three years. Are you afraid you're developing feelings for me?"

What? Afraid of developing feelings for him?

It was hard to believe those words were actually coming out of Dylan's mouth. Working as his secretary for a while must have really inflated his ego.

Rebecca said angrily, "You're overthinking things, Dylan. I would never like you, much less develop feelings for you."

Dylan's eyes darkened. He gritted his teeth and said coldly, "Good. In that case, Ms. Thomson, get back here and finish your work. The project is at a critical stage and can't afford any setbacks because of you. I expect you to act professionally and not let your personal feelings interfere with your job."

With that, Dylan hung up.

"What the hell! Dylan, I had no idea you were so shameless!"

Rebecca shook her fist at her phone, clearly infuriated by his words.

Unbelievable! That man was absolutely unbelievable!

He really was a heartless workaholic, a machine that cared about nothing but work.

Meanwhile, the four little ones seemed to sense their mother's distress.
