Katherine anxiously tugged on Hogan’s arm. “Dad, what are you doing?”
Hogan gave her a warning look. “Listen to me, you cannot afford to offend Dylan this time. The future of the Foster family depends entirely on him.”
Katherine gritted her teeth. “But Dad, you don’t have to be so subservient to Rebecca.”
Hogan said coldly, “What do you know? Since Rebecca is Mrs. Austin, we have to treat her well. That’s what will make Dylan happy. What’s past is past. Don’t bring it up again.”
Katherine wanted to say more, but Hogan was already getting into the car.
She watched her father’s bowing and scraping, and she clenched her fists in frustration.
The four little ones watched the cars drive away, peeking out from their hiding spot.
Ethan frowned. “Is Daddy really going to have drinks with Stinky and Big Pig Head?”
Aiden tilted his head. “I think Daddy is going to teach them a lesson. I don’t think he’s really going to drink with them.”
Evan looked curious. “I want to go see.”
Noah’s gaze was serious. “Kids can’t drink. We should just wait here for the good news.”
…
They arrived at a luxurious private club owned by the Austin Group.
From the outside, the club’s lobby was opulently decorated, gleaming with gold and brilliant light. Crystal chandeliers cast a dazzling glow, showcasing the Austin Group’s immense wealth at every turn.
The three members of the Foster family got out of the car, their faces beaming with joy.
Katherine looked around in awe. “I’ve never been to such a luxurious club. Even the best clubs in Nion can’t compare to this.”
Hogan couldn’t help but smile. “See? Sucking up to Mr. Austin was the right move. Only by following him can we experience things like this.”
