“Rebecca, you’re really Mrs. Austin?” Hogan’s voice trembled slightly.
Rebecca cleared her throat and nodded. “That’s right.”
At her confirmation, the faces of the Foster family turned grim.
They never imagined that Rebecca would suddenly become Dylan’s wife. The transformation was too staggering to comprehend.
Katherine shook her head frantically. “No, impossible. How… how could this be? Rebecca, what kind of tricks did you pull?”
She was just a fake heiress. How could she possibly become Mrs. Austin?
Dylan frowned, pulling back the marriage certificate. He looked at Katherine coldly. “My wife’s status is not for you to question.”
Katherine wanted to argue, but Jane grabbed her arm. “Kathy, Mr. Austin himself confirmed it. It must be true. Rebecca is Dylan’s wife, Mrs. Austin.”
In that instant, Katherine was so jealous she could have ground her teeth to dust.
That damn Rebecca had managed to snag Dylan.
This was Dylan, the head of the Austin family, the richest man in Wye.
Rebecca was just an outcast, thrown out of the Foster family, someone who Katherine had always seen as beneath her. How could she have such incredible luck?
Meanwhile, Hogan was drowning in regret.
If he had known Rebecca could climb so high, he never would have kicked her out of the house.
If he hadn't, wouldn't he be benefiting from this connection now?
His hopes with the Thomson family were dashed, so it was better to build a relationship with Dylan and get on the good side of Wye's wealthiest man.
In that short moment, Hogan had already devised a new strategy.
That’s right. He had to latch onto Dylan, onto the Austin family, and restore the Foster family to its former glory.
