Ares isn’t making this easy for any of us. This wasn’t push and pull anymore; it was a game of destructive temptation that was gonna detonate in our faces.

We were both dangerously turning the tables, and for a split second, it seemed like Ares was gonna come towards me, pick me up, pin me against this table, and fuck me senseless until I forget my own name.

I was sluggish the entire time, and even though Ares had long since finished his meal, he waited until I emptied my plate.

Ares doesn’t reply, but I knew he reacted in some way. This was payback for his reckless speeding!

I’ve always dreamed of coming to a place like this. I couldn’t wait to tell Tori all about it. I could already hear her screaming from excitement.

I was the first to come down, admiring the exterior. It had a large glass window, showcasing mannequins in silk and lace.

When Ares got out of the car, I grabbed his arm and whispered in his ear.

"I’ll be quick, but I’ll make sure I pick the ones you like."

I’m a nervous wreck, and I was beginning to think that this was a bad idea, but it’s too late to back down now.

I sank my teeth into my bottom lip as I eyed the mirror, before looking at the curtains.

Taking a deep breath, I walked through them to find Ares sitting comfortably on the couch. I realized he hadn’t stopped gaping at the curtains, because the instant I stepped out, he already had his eyes on me.

Was he waiting for me the whole time?

"How do I look, honey?" I asked huskily, suddenly confident as his hot eyes travelled to all of me.
