[Music: Red Velvet By Jutes & Ari Abdul]
Ares pressed the bottom of the cigar into the ashtray on the other lounger. He stood and came towards me slowly, holding my gaze as if waiting for me to move, but I didn’t.
When he towered over me, I realized maybe I should have, but it was too late for that now. I knew one step backwards wasn’t gonna save me from Ares King.
His presence has always been intense, and my feet were stapled where they were.
"It’s terrifying..." Ares agreed to my earlier words, his finger curling around my hair. "...and not."
"And why is that?"
"Many reasons..."
"So I shouldn’t be afraid?"
"You should."
"Are you sure...? It sounds to me like you want me to be afraid of you, and at the same time, you don’t want me to be."
His silence told me he didn’t have an answer to that question. It was odd seeing Ares unable to come up with a decision. I guess he wasn’t so perfect after all. Even he could be stumped by confusion.
I moved, but his hand wrapped around my throat to keep me still. He ate up the little space as if it couldn’t be tolerated.
"Say it," he demanded. "Use your safe word right now, and I’ll leave."
My lips came apart, but I could not invoke words. My tongue was heavy in my mouth, shuddering when his nose pressed against mine.
"Say it..." he added through clenched teeth, his grip tightening more until I could feel the strain.
My pulse was throbbing hard, but the burning shiver taking over my body was far more alarming.
I couldn’t believe that even now, even when I wanna hit and scream at him, I was imprisoned under his touch.
It wasn’t fair to me that my body could submit so easily without a fight.
I angled my head backward, my lips pressing into his. I leaned closer, and Ares did too. It took a beat before our lips locked heatedly as we endeavored to taste all at once, as if time were against us.
Ares picked me up, and my legs wrapped around his waist tightly. I felt him move, but I was busy kissing him with all I had, my hand running through his thick hair in eagerness like I had little time to feel him before it was too late.
My fingers clutched his hair tightly, curving so I could push my mouth deeper into his. I freed his hair, gliding to the back of his neck, playing with the little bits there and—!
"Raise your hands."
I did, already missing the feel of him beneath my fingertips. A soft click filled the air as I was restrained. My legs dropped to the floor, and Ares cupped my cheeks, pressing his lips against mine deeply. Sucking, nipping, and his tongue touching every inch so quickly, I thought my heart would stop from the speed.
How did that happen?
"That’s enough for me. You trust me with your body because..." He rested his hands on my hips. "No matter how much I break you, I always put you back together."
His teeth nibbled the helix of my ear before his lips moved to my neck. His tongue tasted me like candy. The sensitivity heightened because I was blindfolded, and the rest of my senses were in full gear to make up for the lost one.
