The Devil CEO's Contract Wife novel Chapter 193

Chapter 193: Noah’s Woman

Fear seized my mind, and I suddenly remembered the people he had here... how he could easily put Tori and Athena in harm’s way.

Oh God, what have I done?

Suddenly, a loud alarm went off, and disorder swamped the floor.

"Move now!" he barked in my ear, and I dashed for the exit.

Amidst doing that, I turned and saw that a fire had been started.

I hesitated about going back, but a hand grabbed me and covered a handkerchief over my nose.

Everything went blank.

"You know what to do."

"Yes, hon. It’s my job and you don’t tell me how to do it."

"Forty minutes tops."

That was Noah’s voice.

I groaned, trying to open my eyes, but the whole place was too bright, so I had to use my hand to block.

"Already up, sleepyhead?"

My eyes got used to the light, and I realized a chandelier was hanging above me. I blinked when I heard a sharp click-clack. The person behind that voice stepped forward.

I tautened and sat up, dragged myself backwards until I almost fell off the couch.

"Now that’s a face I remember seeing..."

"Y-You..." I stuttered.

It was her. The woman who handled the dolls in the brother’s club, where I was caught up in their mess. "Mama..."

"Hello, doll. You’re alive, which is good, after the chaos the Don invested."

Don? She was talking about Ares.

"W-What are you doing here?"

"Doing my job. Time to get you ready."

"R-Ready?"

"Ask that of my new boss, since Don butchered the brothers."

Milo and Marcus are dead?

Seeing my expression, she shook her head. "You didn’t know."

"I-I thought they only lost their club."

"Anyone who crosses the Don doesn’t leave with their lives, he does that, and it’s courtesy, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be free."

Ares killed them.

"Stand, I don’t have all night with you."

Gulping, I pushed off the couch, and she assessed my features.

"I do remember you with platinum blonde hair. Was that a wig?"

"I thought you were the expert."

She huffed. "I much preferred when you were smacked in the face and incapable of speaking." She swung her hand at me, but I caught her wrist, and her eyes widened as if I had audacity. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

Oh yeah, I do, this wasn’t like the club.

"Touch me and I’m gonna smack you to an early grave."

"What’s this about...?" Noah interrupted, coming into the room.

I shoved her hand away, and she stumbled backwards.

I faced Noah, feeling my anger rise. "You kidnapped me."

"It wouldn’t have gotten to that if you hadn’t tried to play smart."

"You set the hotel on fire!"

Slap!

"You messed up, you messed up my plan!"

Noah must have taken it.

Mama was very considerate to remind me I was a diamond by making me wear silver entirely and adding the platinum blonde wig.

I think I threw up in my mouth.

A-Ares’ card.

I moved and got in. There was a duffel bag beside my leg, the zip was open, and I bet everything it was filled with cash.

He had fucking stolen Ares’ money.

"Care to tell me where we’re going now?" I asked, stiffening when his hand clawed my thigh, and disgust crept through my skin.

"The Underworld."

The car engine roared, and he drove out.

Along the way, I wanted so badly to take his hand off, but the gun sitting around his waist made me rethink my decision.

I tried to ignore it, thinking about what he meant by the underworld. I never thought it was an actual place. Is there like a portal to hell or something, or is it a metaphor?

The car came to a stop.

"We’re here..." Noah said.

"Where?"

"I told you already."

The side of my door was open, and I stepped up to see a very bulky man, as well as many others. I was frightened as I rounded the car to Noah, who forced me to his side.

"Don’t forget, you’re my woman, and I want you to act like it. Do I make myself clear?"

I gave a tight nod, feeling my nerves soar when I saw more men.

"Speak!"

I flinched when he barked at my face.

"Yes."

Noah grinned. "Now, which name am I gonna call my woman?"

He squeezed my ass, and my body locked tight as he eyed me with a thirst I had never seen before.

"Diamond," I replied with clenched teeth, trying to keep from slapping his hand away, all I could do was glare.

"We can go with that. I have my diamond for the night." He leaned close so that he could whisper in my ear. "Too bad Ares King isn’t here to witness this."
