"Not there," Ares murmured, his masculine voice making my legs weak.
"W-Where then?"
"Your pussy."
I stopped breathing for a moment.
"D-Down there? You mean put your lips there?" I asked with wide eyes.
Was he into things like that?
I thought men don’t like stuff like that. Dan never liked it either and claimed it was a normal thing for all men.
That lying bastard.
"Yes."
That one word of reply made heat curl through my skin until it wasn’t the sun burning through me. It was hotter, and I was sweating in all the wrong places.
I might melt into a puddle if I don’t start speaking. What am I gonna say?
"CAT!"
I jumped, and my phone fell out of my grip.
"Whoa! Why so jumpy?" Tori asked from a distance. "Are you okay?"
"Y-Yeah!" I crouched to get my phone.
"Well, come taste these. They are amazing!"
"I-I’ll be right there!"
I dusted my phone before tapping against the screen. It’s off. I didn’t charge the damn thing!
"Sorry about that, but my voice really wasn’t that loud," Tori said, coming close. "What happened to your phone?"
I wish I could tell her it had nothing to do with that.
"It’s dead. I’m gonna go charge it."
"Like right now?"
I rose to my full height. "Sorry..."
I desperately want to continue that talk with Ares.
"It’s okay, Timothy is actually really sweet. He tells good jokes, too."
"Timothy?" I looked at the man waving at us, the same person who was gathering apples in the baskets.
"Maybe I can woo his apples."
"Behave!"
She rolled her eyes. "I should be using that word for you. You’re the one who’s having a heat crisis."
"I’m not having a heat crisis," I countered.
"Of course you’re not. Just a simple normal heat."
"Ugh! I’ll be right back!"
"Don’t take too long."
"I won’t! Oh, and the dresses are here."
"Really?"
So he wasn’t watching from our room then. Sly devil.
I quickly plugged my phone in before I went to the wardrobe. Wow!
All eyes fell on me. It wasn’t just Nico, but three other random men I had never seen before, and then they gave way for Isaac to step forward like the leader amongst them.
"Well, this high ass is gonna kick yours if you don’t get going."
Isaac scratched the back of his clean-cut, faded hair. "Are you threatening me?"
"What do you want?" I asked, cutting in on their heated talk.
Isaac’s eyes fell back to me, and I felt like bolting.
"He wants to see you."
"He? You mean Ares’ dad? Why? I see no reason why I should see him again."
He blinked at my words as if he didn’t expect me to ask that and just follow like a dummy. "Are you questioning me right now?"
"Yes, are you above that?"
Isaac huffed in disbelief, then he licked his bottom lip and said. "I like them feisty. You’re gonna put up so much fight until the fire burns out." He grinned. "That’s always my favorite part."
Goosebumps rose on my skin, but somehow I stood my ground, not wanting to be intimidated by him. Only one person gets to do that.
"Watch it..." I warned, and I could feel Nico’s gaze snapping to my side profile.
Isaac chuckled deeply. "She has a mouth on her, too." He rubbed his jawline. "I can put it to good—"
I slapped him, the sound echoing around the hallway. Shit! My hand moved faster than my words.
Slowly, he turned his neck, and a darkened look overtook his eyes, nostrils flaring.
Uh-oh!
"Grab the bitch."
His men moved, and Nico reacted fast, pulling out twin gold guns from his shoulder holster, and they froze.
"One more step and I’ll blow your brains out. Don’t make me do that. I don’t want milady to see what brains you morons have."
