Chapter 131
A few moments later, Julia was sitting in Marcus’ car as they headed toward the Alfred family estate. when her mother called her. She had told her to come home back. Telling her it urgent.
Now, she was in the car with marcus.
“You were right,” she said. “You said they’d call me back, and they really did. How did you know?”
Marcus merely shrugged.
“Just a wild guess. You’re the most capable person in that family. You’re the one keeping their company alive. Once they lose you, they’ll eventually realize they can’t run things without you.”
Julia felt a warmth spread through her chest.
A moment later, her expression turned serious again.
“I still can’t believe it,” she murmured. “Sancho’s entire empire… it just collapsed overnight like that. AQSA was one of the biggest companies in the country.”
She slowly shook her head.
“I’m sure they offended someone far more powerful than anyone could imagine and that person released those files.”
Marcus simply scoffed.
“Who knows?”
Several minutes later, the car slowly rolled to a stop outside the Alfred family mansion.
Marcus and Julia stepped out together.
The moment they entered the living room, everyone who had been waiting immediately stood up.
Their attitudes had changed completely.
“Julia!”
Ms. Lena hurried over with a bright smile, taking Julia’s hands before even pulling her into a warm hug.
“My dear daughter, you’ve finally come home.”
Julia remained expressionless. She allowed herself to be led to the sofa. They even acknowledge Marcus, and even provide him a seat.
Julia politely nodded toward Mr. Alfred and Mrs. Alfred.
“Good evening, Grandfather. Grandmother.”
The forced gentle smiles.
“Good evening, Julia.”
After everyone settled down, silence filled the room.

Mr. Alfred cleared his throat before speaking.
“Julia… I know we’ve wronged you.”
He sighed deeply. “We sincerely apologize. We never should’ve driven you out of this house. We were blinded and made a terrible mistake.”
Mrs. Alfred quickly nodded.
“I was simply too angry at the time. No matter what happened, you are still family. We should never have sent yon away.”
Julia looked at them calmly before speaking.
“The only reason you called me back..is because Sancho is finished and AQSA has collapsed, and you’ve already thrown me away.”
Her sharp gaze swept across everyone.
“Now that your new backer is gone, you suddenly remembered me because you need the Langstone family again.”
The room instantly fell silent. Everyone awkwardly exchanged glances.
Mr. Alfred forced a bitter smile.
“Julia… I know you’re angry, and you have every right to be. But believe me, we would never abandon you.”
Mrs. Alfred hurriedly added,
“I’m sorry. Truly. And… you’re free to marry this young man.”
She glanced toward Marcus putting on a forced smile.
“We won’t interfere anymore.”
Ms. Lena nodded repeatedly. “Yes. None of us will stop you again. If you want to marry Marcus, then we’ll support your decision.”
Julia almost laughed.
She knew every one of them was only saying those words because they had no other choice.
“So…” she said calmly, crossing her legs. “Now that I’m back, what exactly do you want me to do?”
Mr. Alfred immediately answered,
“I want you to resume your position as COO. And more importantly we need you to repair our relationship with the Langstone family.”
Julia let out a cold scoff.
“After you threw me out, our partnership with the Langstones ended immediately.”
“They were already furious that I suddenly disappeared without any explanation, i was even handling some of thier project, and you kicked me out, And now you expect me to go back and ask for their cooperation again?”
She looked directly at everyone.
“Do you honestly think they’ll trust me a second time after what happened?”

Those words struck the room like a heavy hammer.
Mr. Alfred’s expression stiffened.
Only then did he realize the magnitude of the mistake they had made.
The Langstone partnership had been the pillar supporting the Alfred family’s company in recent times. Without it, their business would struggle to survive. There wasn’t another partner in the country capable of replacing the Langstones.
He let out a weary sigh before speaking in a much softer tone.
“Julia… please.”
His voice carried none of its usual authority.
