The Disguised Billionaire She Rejected novel Chapter 198

Chapter 198

Marcus frowned as he slowly pushed himself off the floor. His chest still throbbed from the impact, and a thin line of blood remained at the corner of his mouth.

Sapphire immediately rushed toward him. “Are you okay? Are you hurt?”

Marcus nodded and wiped the blood from his lips with the back of his hand. “I’m fine.”

Raven, the man’s name. stepped forward, staring at him with a mocking grin. “Ohh, so you have a boyfriend now?”

Sapphire’s expression changed immediately.

“This is who you’ve been giving all the family money to?” Raven continued, his voice dripping with contempt. Ugh, this fucker.”

Sapphire quickly shook her head. “No! He doesn’t know anything. He’s just my customer.”

“Then why did he chime in?”

Sapphire opened her mouth but couldn’t find an answer.

Marcus, however, had already stepped forward.

He wasn’t the type to back down simply because someone had managed to land one punch. In fact, the more he thought about it, the more curious he became about Raven’s strength. That punch had been unusually powerful, and Marcus wanted to know exactly what he was dealing with.

Raven noticed him approaching and immediately smirked.

“What’s with that face?” he asked. “You want another punch in the face?”

Marcus stopped a few steps away. “Yes.”

Raven’s eyebrows lifted slightly before his grin widened.

Sapphire immediately stepped between them. “Please, don’t. Okay, Raven, I’ll give you the money. Just let this go. Please.”

Raven barely glanced at her. “I’ll take the money later.”

His eyes remained fixed on Marcus. “Right now, I’d like to teach this motherfucker a lesson.”

Sapphire’s face paled. “Raven, please!”

But neither man listened.

Raven rolled his shoulders and slowly raised his fists. His confidence was obvious. After sending Marcus flying with a single punch, he was convinced the fight would be over almost immediately.

He lunged forward. His fist came straight toward Marcus’s face.

But this time, Marcus was ready.

At the very last moment, Marcus shifted his head to the side.

Whoosh!

Raven’s fist passed harmlessly beside his cheek. Raven’s eyes widened.

Raven scoffed as he slowly turned his shoulder, his confidence returning. “Count yourself lucky you avoided that one. I’m going to remove every tooth from your mouth this time.”

Marcus wiped the remaining blood from his lip and said nothing.

Raven suddenly charged. His fist came forward with tremendous force, but this time Marcus noticed something that immediately changed his expression. A faint aura surrounded Raven’s fist, almost invisible beneath the dim light of the shop.

Marcus’s eyes narrowed. Raven was a cultivator also.

Marcus leaned backward, allowing the punch to pass inches from his face. Raven immediately followed with another strike, then another, each one carrying that strange energy. His movements were aggressive and confident, relying heavily on his superior strength.

Marcus stepped aside as another punch smashed into a wooden shelf.

Crash!

The shelf broke apart. Raven turned and swung his elbow toward Marcus’s head. Marcus ducked beneath it, drove his shoulder into Raven’s chest, and sent him stumbling backward.

Raven’s eyes widened.

“You…”

He steadied himself and charged again.

This time, his aura became more obvious. His fist glowed faintly as he threw a powerful straight punch.

Marcus raised his arm.

Boom!

The collision shook the room.

Sapphire stepped backward in fear as the force sent dust falling from the ceiling.

Raven grinned. “You’re finished.”

He immediately launched a combination of punches. Left. Right. Straight. Hook.nMarcus blocked the first two, slipped beneath the third, and stepped away from the fourth. Raven became increasingly frustrated.

“Why the hell can’t I hit you?”

Marcus finally countered. His fist struck Raven in the ribs.

Thud!

Raven’s body bent slightly from the impact. Before he could recover, Marcus grabbed his arm, turned his body, and threw him across the shop.

Bang!

Raven crashed into the floor and rolled several times. He stared upward in disbelief. Marcus slowly walked toward

him.

“You’re a cultivator…” He couldn’t even finished. before Marcus followed up with some sequences fists. Actually. Raven was a good fighter with some sprinkle of cultivation, which wasn’t even close to Marcus’ level. This made Marcus beat him to pulp.

At some point, He was unable to raise his hand. After some minutes, Raven was defeated that he had surrendered.-

“okay, the fuck .. wait wait, who the fuck are you, you are also a cultivator, which family or tribe are you from’

But Marcus didn’t have intention of answering that.

Marcus simply looked at Raven and said, “Just so you know, I am your sister’s boyfriend. If you ever try something like this again, I swear I’ll make sure you lose every tooth in your mouth.”

Raven stared at him with a stiff expression. He clearly didn’t want to accept what had just happened. His pride was screaming at him to stay and fight, but his battered body told him otherwise. He had already discovered that the difference between them was far greater than he had imagined.

Marcus took one step toward him. “You heard me.”

Raven clenched his jaw before reluctantly nodding. Without saying another word, he turned around and rushed out of the shop.

The moment the door slammed behind him, Sapphire finally let out a long sigh of relief.

She turned toward Marcus, her eyes filled with gratitude. “I don’t even know what to say. I’m so grateful.”

Marcus waved his hand dismissively. “It’s nothing.”

Sapphire shook her head. “No, it isn’t. I know Raven. He used some kind of magic when he fought you. I thought he was going to beat you easily. I honestly didn’t know you were a magician too.”

Marcus scoffed lightly. “We call it cultivation.”

“Oh.” Sapphire nodded slowly. “Cultivation.”

She looked at him with renewed curiosity. “I’m surprised. Also, about the boyfriend part, thanks a lot”.

Marcus just scoffed it odd again.

Sapphire chuckled softly before remembering something. “Wait… what’s your name again? I completely forgot.”

“Marcus.”

“Yeah. Marcus.” She smiled. “Thank you. And thank you for helping me the last time too.”

Marcus shook his head. “It’s nothing. You don’t have to keep thanking me.’
