Jessica turned back to Marcus, anger burning in her eyes. “Apologize to him right now.”

Marcus gave a dry scoff. “Why should I apologize for something I didn’t do?”

“You are still lying,” she snapped. “Look at his hand. Being with Ms. Natalie doesn’t make you untouchable or give you the right to be arrogant!”.

“He was the one that tried to attacked me first, he lost his footing and cut his hand. why should I aplogize for it” Marcus calmly said.

“Wow, I didn’t even know you can carefully lie like this!”.

Marcus said, “Look, whatever you want, you can think, I am not just apologizing”.

By now, several guests had begun drifting toward the terrace, drawn by the raised voices.

“Wow… he’s seriously bleeding.”

“Did Ms. Natalie’s boyfriend really do that?”

With Natalie nowhere in sight, Jessica directed all her fury at Marcus.

He said calmly, “Say whatever you want. I’m not apologizing.”

Beside her, Travis revealed a faint, triumphant smile. For the first time tonight, things seemed to be turning in his favor.

Marcus noticed it.

He stepped closer to Travis, his eyes turning sharp and cold. He leaned slightly forward. “Am I the one who attacked you first? You better say exactly what happened. If you lie, it won’t be only your hand that will be bleeding.”

Travis immediately pretended to shrink back in fear. He shook his head weakly. “I… I just lost my footing and fell. Please, just forgive me. Don’t cut my hand again”

Jessica glared at Marcus. “Stop intimidating him. Even in this situation, he’s still asking you for forgiveness.”

Something in Marcus snapped.

He reached for a bottle of red wine from a nearby table. He weighed it in his hand for a brief second, his expression unreadable.

Then he smashed it against Travis’s head.

Smashed!!!!

The sound cracked through the terrace.

Jessica froze in complete shock. “Why would you do that? Do you want to kill him?!”

Marcus spoke calmly, almost lazily. “Since you all claim I attacked him first, wouldn’t it be a waste if I didn’t actually do it? I might as well make it real. What can you do about it?”

Travis roared in pain, clutching his head. “I will send you to prison! I swear! I will ruin your life!”

Marcus crouched down slightly, looking at him with a faint smile. “Go ahead.”

Jessica said, “Why are you behaving like tout!!!”.

Just then, a voice from the crowd rang out. “Wait! Look, there’s a CCTV camera there. Shouldn’t it have captured everything? We can check who is right and who is wrong.”

Several people nodded quickly.

“Yes, that’s true.”

“Let’s check the footage.”

At that moment, Travis’s face lost all color.

He knew if they checked the CCTV, everything would be exposed.

He began groaning louder. “Ahh… my hand… it’s hurting badly now.”

Jessica looked at Marcus with hatred. “Fine. Let’s check the CCTV.”

Marcus smiled faintly. “We should. i will shall see who is lying here”

Travis grabbed Jessica’s arm desperately. “Jessica, I’m in serious pain. I need to go to the hospital right

now.”

Jessica hesitated for a second, then shook her head. “You are connected to Ms. Natalie now. Who knows what you might do with the CCTV. I can’t waste my time on this. Travis needs help.”

She glared at Marcus. “Just know this. I will have you arrested for this.”

Marcus replied calmly, “You can try. The Langstone family’s lawyer will be waiting for you.”

Those words hit hard.

Jessica understood the meaning behind them. This was the Langstone family’s banquet. No matter what she did, no matter who she called, the outcome would not favor her.

Travis was still bleeding, wincing in pain, and she had no choice but to support him as they began walking out of the venue.
