The Disguised Billionaire She Rejected novel Chapter 26

Chapter 26.

Marcus stepped forward slowly. Marcus, Suspected something was wrong when Jordan insisted the ring was with him.

so he touched his pocket and felt it, he immediately understood that jordan was setting him up, so he outplayed him. That moment when he wanted to beat him. he had planned to slip the ring back in his pocket but his bodyguard had chimed in, and well, he became the collateral.

Marcus slipped the Ring back to his pocket, in a very swift way, that he didn’t even know, that was how he changed the table.

Marcus voice calm but sharp enough to cut through the noise.

“Now go on your knees,” he said. “And make your apology.”

Jordan scoffed like the idea was ridiculous. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and straightened his suit.

“You think I will do that?” Jordan said loudly. “Me. Jordan Fisher.”

He looked around the hall like he needed witnesses for his pride.

“In fact,” he continued, voice rising, “my father will be accompanying Mr Edward Langston here. And you want me to kneel? I am not doing that. I can never do that.”

A few people murmured. The name fisher changed the atmosphere slightly.

“what! he is fisher son!”.

Julia crossed her arms, her eyes narrowed.

“So what? This is what you are going to play now?” she said. “Just apologize and end it.”

Jordan let out a bitter laugh.

“Apologize?” he repeated. “For what exactly? For your little staged drama?”

Marcus didn’t react. He just watched him like he was waiting for Jordan to finish talking himself into a

corner.

Jordan pointed at him.

“This man is the problem. He manipulated everything from the start. And now you all are clapping like fools.”

The old woman was not having it, “So because you are Fisher son, we should keep up with your nonsense!. You are wrong, you will go down on your knees like you promised and nothing is going to change that!”.

The people supported her and nodded, voices rising in agreement. “Yes, Fisher or not,”.

one man said sharply, “wrong is wrong.”

The tension in the hall tightened as Jordan secomd bodygaurd, clearly preparing to escort Jordan out.

But before he could move, the Langstone bodygaurd side stepped in quickly, blocking him. “He is not going anywhere until this is settled, he should do what he suppose to do” he said firmly.

Jordan’s eyes snapped toward him. “You ordinary bodyguard are talking to me like that?” he barked. “Do you even know who I am? I can have you dead for this insult.”

A cold silence followed his words.

Then a voice cut through the tension.

“What the heck is happening here?”

Heads turned.

Natalie was walking toward them, calm but commanding, her heels clicking against the marble floor. Her gaze moved from the crowd to Jordan. “What is going on here?”

Jordan straightened immediately, recognizing her. His tone shifted fast. “Lady Natalie, this man is manipulating everything. He stole something and blamed my bodyguard.”

Natalie frowned, eyes narrowing as she looked at Marcus, then back at Jordan. “Him?” she said flatly.

The old woman stepped forward again. “No, he is lying. This young man did nothing. That brat manipulated everything. His bodyguard stole it and he was even caught on camera.”

The bodyguard on Edward Langston’s side quickly explained everything from the start, including the vow Jordan made in front of everyone.

Natalie listened without interrupting, her expression unreadable. When they finished, she scoffed softly and turned fully to Jordan.

Jordan suddenly raised his voice. “They are lying!”

Natalie tilted her head slightly, almost amused. “You are funny. Everyone here has already pointed at you as the villain, and you are still denying it.

She paused, then added coldly, “Anyway, you will do as you vowed.”

Jordan’s face stiffened. “I’m Mr Fisher’s first son! Your father’s friend. You can’t do this to me.”

Natalie’s eyes didn’t blink. “Well, what about this,” she said. “I will have them crush your leg, and you will never walk again. And your father will do nothing about it, i can swear on it.”

Jordan knew it was true. He knew his father’s friendship with Edward Langston was only business, nothing deep. And Natalie wasn’t the kind of person who made empty threats. If she said it, it would happen even if he later protested all he would take is an apology. He swallowed hard.

Slowly, under the weight of every gaze in the room, Jordan dropped to his knees.

Natalie said, “Now, say im sorry for accusing you, i am a jerk!”.

Jordan felt like vomiting, and didn’t want to say it. but with Natalie’s gaze, he crumbled.

“I am…”.

“Louder!”.
